Visited here with the lads on Friday. Beer was superb, locals were friendly and the manager knows how to run a bar. This is quickly becoming a firm favourite and we intend to visit more often.
What a great atmosphere in here. Not sure if it was the manager who was wearing the Hawaiian shirt but very friendly and remembered my order even though I'd never been in there before. Atlantic Pale Ale was first class and I'll definitely be back.
Great friendly pub. Well stocked bar. Clean in all areas. Landlord looks after his customers well ... 100% visitor friendly.

Good atmosphere and huge choice of beer and other drinks as well as snacks/sweets. Excellent jukebox, several TVs showing Sky and BT sports channels, has a pool table as well. Dogs welcome.
Awesome meal and friendly staff, Ribeye steak cooked perfect and chips were delicious too. But anyone going must try the cheesecake as unbelievable. Great and prompt service and prices not to bad either. 5 stars...
Great local pub serving very good food. Small restaurant so book or get in early although they also serve food in the bar. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced (chicken burger and fish and chips were both just under £10).

Lovely friendly local pub. Was extremely busy as rugby was on but had a great night out. Staff are lovely and prices are good. They serve food there we never had food but it smelt amazing.
Our golf society visited here when playing Close House in July 2021. I'd like to thank Paul and the team for taking such good care of us, exceptional hospitality and great food. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. We're planning another Golf trip to Northumberland and looking to use this as our base (I look forward to hearing about Springer the dogs trip to Monaco!) . We were given a very warm welcome by the locals and even managed to watch England beat Ukraine in the Euros! Excellent trip all round. Thanks again.
