Fell upon this gem in August, after being perfunctory dismissed by another pub in Wye for wanting dinner on Sunday. The experience then was so good, we vowed to return. Which we did. So, Just returned from a night away, with a celebratory dinner Friday night. Can't fault anything to be honest. Attentive and friendly service, so warm and genuinely interested in us, fabulous dinner, great breakfast with a relaxed and easy style. The room was lovely, comfortable, with some special touches. You know, I'm reading some of the negative comments and wondering if this is the same place - or maybe they have actually listened hard to feedback. If so, good on you, lads. You have got it spot on and your ambience, service, quality, friendliness and sheer presence does you real credit. See you again - and again

Visited this wonderful pub/restaurant a few times now and it has quickly become our favourite! The owners are lovely, really friendly and we always bring our little dog with us who they allow to sit with us while we enjoy our food. They are very dog-friendly and always ask if our four-legged friend would like a bowl of water, which is so lovely! The food is always excellent, very fresh, tasty and locally sourced which is great - definitely worth a visit!!

Our recent stay at the Kings Head was nothing short of magical. First and foremost, the food was incredible. Every dish served was a culinary masterpiece. Whether it was the perfectly cooked burger on a pretzel bun or the addictive halloumi fries, each bite was amazing. They also have their own wood-fired pizza in the back that fires up some of the best pizzas we’ve had! This is available for dine-in or take-away. The rooms at the Kings Head were a true retreat. They were not only beautifully decorated but also incredibly comfortable. It was a joy to relax in such a cozy atmosphere after a day of exploring the charming surrounding area. What sets the Kings Head apart is the convenience of having absolutely everything you need, all in one place. From the delicious meals to the comfortable rooms, it truly is a one-stop destination for a perfect getaway. A special thanks goes out to Nick and the entire staff for their excellent hospitality. If you're looking for a place to escape, indulge in amazing food, and relax in beautiful surroundings, look no further than the Kings Head. It's a hidden gem that I can't wait to visit again. Thank you, Kings Head, for a truly exceptional experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent with some wow! This is a review of the dinner we had at The Kings Head. The best meal out I’ve had in years. Great service in an attractive environment; really good food; good value. I had the tofu starter followed by hake and mussels as the main. The fish was very well cooked, about perfect I’d say, with great flavours and texture, as were the mussels. The crumble pudding was delicious and deserves a ‘wow’ rating, along with the treacle and Guinness bread we had before the starters. My wife really enjoyed her meal too. I don’t often get this excited about a meal - this was a great dinner. Many thanks to Patrick for his kind attention.

I recently spent a weekend at The Kings Head and it did not disappoint: The refurbishment of the property is stunning - beautiful and well thought-out. The food, drinks and service were first class. Looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent service, friendly, professional landlord who found solutions when various problems caused by storm Ciarán occured. Warm welcoming bar. One improvement would be to bring the real ale pumbs into use, A Shepherd Neame beer on at least one for example Spitfire ale would be my suggestion.

Fish n chips were OK but prefer chunky chips. Service friendly but fire had gone out on a very wet dark evening, not cosy !

Having Googled top 50 country pubs in Kent on Kent Online. We decided to head to this one. The staff were welcoming and the food was exceptional. We’d put it in the top 10 of the 50. As we’re local and have been to half of them.

This is a fantastic pub in the beautiful village of Wye. We enjoyed a superb dinner for two in the restaurant a couple of weeks ago and had a great family pizza night in the chilled courtyard tonight. Can’t recommend highly enough, thanks Nick and the team!

Lovely stay in newly refurbished pub. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Wye is a great base for walks and day trips (Canterbury, Whitstable). We wish the new team well.

Overnight stop on our North Downs Way walk. Very comfortable room if a bit ‘cosy’. Great breakfast, friendly and professional staff.

Lovely pub in perfect, little Town location. Ideal for both, either quick pit stop or long meal out in cosy atmosphere

Lovely pub located along the high street. Google maps always helpful to find it in the dark. Lots of spacious areas to Have a drink with friends, you can have a seat down with friends or have a quick drink without meals involved. The service was relatively smooth and quick. Prices not on the cheap side but you get what you pay for.

Dropped in for lunch after a wet 15km hike on the downs. Arrived 15 mins before service ended but were treated wonderfully. Had excellent chicken schnitzel.

Came for lunch and had the Korean chicken and also the burger, food was amazing! Presented well and full of flavour! Service was top notch and very attentive. Our host Andrea had great wine knowledge and gave us recommendations that really helped to complete both our meals. Would definitely recommend and we will be back! Well done to everyone! A+

Went for lunch on a quiet Tuesday, the bar was nice and airy with a good selection of beers on offer. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive but not too intrusive. I didn't think I'd get too excited about a chicken and bacon sandwich but it was really, really good - served with a lovely side salad and chips. We will definitely be going back next time we are in the area or when I get a hankering for another sandwich.

Hotel review: Sweet room, a bit tight, but clean and tidy. Lovely vibe to the place and nice position. Really handy for the Chunnel (20 minutes’ drive) given how expensive and terrible the closer hotels are. Fabulous breakfast! They take dogs which is a bonus. Really nice staff. Would recommend!
