So for my birthday 27/04/17 we came on reccomendation and wasnt disappointed greeted by a nice lady at the door escorted us to where we sat, took our drinks order ,then we looked at the menu I had rump steak,dad had sirloin steak both were cooked superbly, mom had a mexican dish which was also nice, finally had room for a dessert of which I had the eclair cake which was massive but very very nice and dad had a ice cream in a dish, overall service,food and price for the 3 of us was excellent will recommend to family and friends, you wont be disappointed defo 5***** we will be back �
Been going to The Crown for 15 years, have never had a bad meal, never no need to complain about the food, nor the service from the staff. Despite the change overs with the managers food and service always been spot on. The chefs and young waiters/waitress work really hard...Have tried other places in Wychbold but The Crown is my favouite.

The room was 2nd to none. Very comfortable and not to shabby for Angi lol. Breakfast was lovely. Just make sure you get the code for the outer door. We weren't given it and had to ring round family to be let in. Almost spent night in the car and this review would of been completely different.

My friend and I stopped here for Sunday lunch yesterday - we both had the roast turkey and it was absolutely delicious, lovely large Yorkshire pudding and served very quickly by a very friendly young waitress :)

Superb stay, we had a family room.
The staff are absolutely 💯 superb, Chloe checked us in and made our stay very enjoyable.
The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean, and very well equipped with tea making facilities and TV, clean, fresh, and well equipped en suite.
The restaurant attached served an absolutely excellent breakfast.
The menu had something for everyone. The secret garden and outside front seating were ideal with a pitcher of cocktails in the warm summer evenings, nicely busy, lovely decor, and a family-friendly place.
Really nice place, food was excellent and the new decor is lovely. We chose here because their vegetarian choice was the best in the area, the non vegetarians in the group also had a lot of dishes to choose from. The service was great, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Next time we are in the area we will be back.
Came for food with a friend for a catch up! Wow the place looks amazing and the staff are second to non! Amazing atmosphere, lots of live music, so stayed for an extra drink! The food was absolutely delicious! I had a steak, as they have mid week deals on different foods, Thursday was steak night! Thank you Sean And Daniel for an excellent meal! I would have had a dessert too, but I was so full! Poppy served us on the bar, she was very friendly and chatty! The place, the staff, the food and the atmosphere was great! We will defiantly be returning!
Lovely staff, excellent pool table. Also has a dart board. Rooms are spacious and welcoming. Serves some local ales 🍺

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday back in June 2023. First impressions were great. The pub has a separate car park for guests which had plenty of free spaces and we received a friendly welcome upon check in. We were placed on the ground floor but were far away enough from the pub itself and heard no noise whatsoever from the main pub throughout our stay, and heard not too much noise from the main road. The room was pleasent, perfectly clean, and with a comfy bed (was a bit like stepping into a new and modern Travelodge room). We stayed during 28 degree C heat and the room had neither aircon or a fan, so as a result it was uncomfortably hot all night. Any other time of the year I'm sure it would have been comfortable. Another inconvenience was that the shower only had one temperature setting and that was hot. Otherwise, we loved the Dove soap and shower gel in the bathroom - that was a nice touch. We also ate in the pub during our stay. The menu was rather heavy looking and beige but our lasagna's and salads tasted great. Other people's food looked tasty too. All staff in the pub were a real credit to their employer, all friendly, delivering excellent service and the pub offers great value. I'd happily stay here again.
Warm welcome and tasty food. Did not have to wait long for our meals. Only small issue was that we ordered 3 deserts, 2 came out together and the third didn't arrive until the others were almost finished. The waitress was quite young and appeared a little like she didn't want to be there. Other than that it was a pleasant evening and w will return
First time visiting the Crown, drove past it many a time and decided to try it. Food was out of this world and portion size was just right. The staff were friendly and polite. We will be coming back with the in-laws after Christmas
Excellent value for money.
Steak cooked perfectly by Kerry for myself and the halloumi and red pepper for my wife.
Service was also excellent served by Gaby.
Overall experience was very good and a big improvement on our last visit.
Improved selection of drinks and overall a good menu.
Marked down slightly as my wife’s food was a bit bland (lasagna).
Staff excellent very helpful and friendly.
2nd visit 27/9/2023:
Service etc remained high and the food seems much better.
Staff were polite and attentive, gent behind the bar was efficient and friendly. Food was hot and delicious we will definitely be returning. Only draw back was the serving staff (2 young ladies) both had long hair that wasn't tied up.
Such a lovely atmosphere & staff with a lovely community atmosphere.
An extensive menu with lots of choice for vegetarians too. Shame not all the options were available, but we were able to work around it.
The local cheese dishes - that starter - was lovely & your cauliflower wings are super!
No significant issues. Fellow diners warned us to expect a long wait for our meals. They had waited an hour for theirs, but we concluded they had arrived an hour earlier which probably coincided with most other diners arriving at around that same time. We reserved a table for 8pm. Alas, our meals arrived within 10/15 mins of ordering them. Food was fine, nothing special, but with a 30% discount voucher did make our meals 'good value for money'.
We were all pleasantly surprised after the much needed refurbishment. The pub looks fresh and clean and done out in a modern style. Food is usual pub fayre, but cooked to a good standard at reasonable prices. Service was great, and the barman was up for a chat and a laugh, which I always appreciate. To top it off, they serve Neck oil. Nice to sit in the rear garden after the food was finished as well. Youngest enjoyed the play area. Much improved pub and really enjoyed our visit. Thanks.
Upon arrival we were met by the manager who was very pleasant and greeted us well. We were directed to our table which shown as reserved.
Our decided on our meal options and ordered at the bar which was very efficient.
Our meals arrived in an acceptable period and was as expected. However, one of our party’s food a Steak and ale pie was tepid / cold . When raised with the manager he apologised profusely and removed the meal without any hesitation and offered a drink as an apology free of charge. This was very well received and the replacement meal was served again in an acceptable timeframe.
Excellent service from all team members. Our food was delicious and came swiftly. They checked that a starter was to come out with our main dish and was delivered to our table with a smile.
Great friendly atmosphere and live music will definitely return.
We go here quite often for food and drinks, always a lovely atmosphere and the food is second to none the waitresses are all extremely polite and welcoming, we even got the chef Sean come out and personally thank us for our feedback. The play area is lovely and always keeps our 5yr old occupied when we go.
