The food was superb fresh and hot. .. the service was unbelievably quick ... very friendly staff will 100% be returning. ... if you haven't tried it you need to. ... stunning our new favourite cafe !!! 10 * thank you xx
What's not to like? A cafe in the great British tradition. Where else are you going to find bacon and onion suet roll, or Bedfordshire Clanger as it is known in my family? Love it
Changed my review...... Enjoyed my breakfast very much and can not wait to be back again. Next time be the big breakfast οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½

This is a lovely transport cafe . Renowned for the amazing breakfasts. From their Olympic to a healthier option.
They also serve roast dinners , hot meals, sandwiches, pudding s ie: lovely English traditional crumble and custard.
It s not posh, but it is functional, very friendly staff, food cooked to order so you do need to wait for your meal, which in my experience is never long.
I have never seen this establishment quiet, which speaks volumes .πβοΈ
Always great - a traditional old fashioned cafe serving wonderful great British classics and breakfasts from the good old English fry up to Cottage Pie and so on. Highly recommended. Hopefully the pot holes will be improved in the car park soon...
It was great, so it had to be closed for new housing :(
Car park really needs to be resurfaced. Customers also need to appreciate the facilities. Polite notices asking not to leave water running. Why leave it running means no hot water to wash your hands. They try their best.
Oh what joy. A real old fashioned transport cafe. A generous breakfast at 3.30pm! Hot soothing tea, and the price was right.
A charming young lady serving with a zest for life and her job.
Don't be put off by the outside appearance of the premises as once inside the welcome is warm and you feel your custom is appreciated, unlike so many other establishments.
I'd rather eat here in a traditional transport cafΓ© than a spotlessly clean McD.....s!
Food that not only feeds the body, but food to appease the soul, especially after sufferings incurred on the M25.
Note: They close at 2.30pm every day except
for Wednesdays when it's late opening.
Go and enjoy. Remember, or learn, how things should be.
Old school transport cafe with a bikers meet every Wednesday evening. Great food and drink, lovely staff. Ignore the decor - it's part of the charm of the place. Great sausage sandwiches!
Busy as heck as usual, time it wrong and you'll wait for ever for your order, but it's a well liked bike meeting place so very popular through the summer. Ya get good cafe food and the staff do work hard to keep the food cooking.
Best cafe in the world. I had steak and kidney suet pudding and roast tatties peas cabbage carrots and gravy. I couldn't eat it although I tried. Yummy
Great value, prompt service, right price. The ghosts of the ton-up boys still longer.
If your looking for a Lyons tearoom, you'll be disappointed. But it your looking for a proper transport cafe, look no further!
Extremely good value cafe in particular if you want a full english. Typical old style cafe with helpful friendly staff with a professional attitude and good service values to ensure you are completely happy with your visit.
The Oakdene Cafe has been a stalwart of good solid home cooked food for bikers, truckers and families alike for many years. Still simply laid out, there are no airs or graces here and thankfully places like this remain. Post hangover Special Breakfasts will get you going again, no doubt. The biker nights see bikers travel from all over to enjoy the simplicity that is and has always been the Oakdene Cafe. If you want a plateful for reasonable prices and don't mind plastic chairs, this place comes recommended.
Good short pit stop during a joy ride. They've a small stand with hot and cold drinks outside. Had a good cup of tea with a smile.
Also maintain a Clclean toilet.
Glad they are open during this time of Covid!
All day breakfast type of diner which does serve a mean bacon sarnie! Plenty of parking. Extremely popular and used as a meeting place for bikers (not Hells Angels kind) so can be very busy and noisy at these times. If you are into your racing bikes then this is a fab place. Not ideal for those looking for a tea room type cafe. Also very popular on Brands Hatch race/track days.
popped in 4 quick cuppa. will be back soon for full english
