Having been previously for tea and cake I decided it was the perfect place to take my Mum for her (early) Mother's Day treat. Myself, Mum and my 16 year old daughter all is different meals ... fish & chips for Mum, Salt & Pepper chicken for Lucy and the egg mayo on granary for me! Our food was with us quickly and was beautiful .. in taste and presentation! The service was exceptional and I would highly recommend everyone to try here. We will definitely be back soon ... there's a cream tea with my name on

We called in on Saturday the 14th of January. We thought we'd give it a try for food as we had been in the past for afternoon tea. I ordered the ribeye steak of the specials menu and my wife had cod. Both meals were exceptional..in fact the steak was the best I've had for many years. The service was also superb, I will definately be going again.

Attended The Paddock today for a celebratory lunch with my mum and sisters. Amazing food (as usual) with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff are amazing with nothing too much trouble - Great service! Danielle, the manager (didn't get his name) and the staff really went above and beyond to make our visit special. Thank you! Will be back again.

The food is always amazing here whether you choose to go for breakfast or lunch. Had the Cajun spiced chicken burger today for lunch off the specials and it was amazing! Should definitely be put on the normal menu

We had high tea as a christmas gift from friends. Never been before but really loved it. I normally can't drink coffee as too strong but loved the blend whatever it was. The other food coming out of the kitchen looked very tasty. Would definately return and recommend as a gift if unsure what to get people.

Four of us had a very pleasant late lunch. Excellent, friendly service and food. Only annoyance was the very noisy coffee making machine(s), that drowned-out our voices.

Attended a lovely baby shower here at the weekend. The food was lovely, we had afternoon tea for a group of 11, although it was quite expensive and we were surprised to find that afternoon tea didn't actually include tea. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and a great setting.

Had a lovely lunch today here, the chicken, ham, mushroom and leek pie was beautiful, tasty and creamy with big chunks of chicken breast and tasty pieces of ham, topped with the lightest puff pastry I've ever had. It came with a good sized portion of lovely chips and some broccoli, sugar snap peas and green beans, all perfectly cooked. We also had the seabass and garlic king prawns served with crushed potatoes and the same veg, this was also really delicious, the prawns we're to die for and the seabass fillet was a very good size, cooked perfectly and we didn't find any bones. It came with a delicious sauce, can't remember the name, but it went with this dish beautifully. The pie was £13.50 and the fish dish was £14.50, which for this quality of food was a good price. Wish we lived more locally as we would be back frequently. Also waitress said it was a new menu as from today.

Always such a lovely experience eating here, had the eggy bread this time, so delicious 😋 I had lunch today, fish and triple cooked chips with tarter sauce and mushy peas, the batter was light and the fish was cooked to perfection, delicious!

Love it here, food alway delicious. Staff are absolutely lovely but rushed off their feet, you feel awful for asking for more drinks etc as they're always so busy.

Nice little place sat outside, still wondering why more didn't sit outside when there was not a table inside available! Fodder was ok, would be better with a better range of beers, not everyone wants lager, and especially the swanky trendy European stuff

Excellent cafe/restaurant. Great food, but slightly on the higher price side. Massively improved on previous visits which were poor experiences. Downsides are it's often extremely busy, causing everything to go a little downhill. Watch the overflow carpark, its a train wreck site of car wrecking potholes.

I had the fish finger sandwiches. The goujons were lovely served on a toasted bun and chips. Beautiful. Would definitely recommend. The service was excellent. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Everything was just great. Not been here for a while and it was a lovely good Friday treat. My friends also enjoyed the fish and chips.

Brilliant food, service, and drinks. Got a great Full English Breakfast which (despite initial skepticism due to the price) turned out to be one of the best I've had in a long while. Staff are fab; friendly, attentive, and covid-safe. Coffee was good for a cafe, with the flat white I had being tasty and (mercifully) not burnt. Overall would definitely recommend, and will be using this as a regular meet up spot when we are up that way.
