Stunning little find. Great food and large menu options. Place is very clean and neat and the outdoor area looks lovely. The chicken burger was large and delicious.

Great place, cosy, sat at the bar enjoying the ambiance and a good choice of beers. Revisit for food not so good burger tasting sweet with processed sugar, Fajitas with poorly prepared meats and oversized wraps impossible to use . Only going in for a beer in the future. 😟

Evening meal with friends. Small selection on the menu as one of our party is gluten free and vegan, so just a couple of options for her. Nice meal. A deposit was asked for when booking.

Service here is 10/10 and food a generous 8/10, so well worth a visit if you are in the area!

Had my first ever bottomless brunch here. The food was delicious, staff friendly, great service and lots of cocktails (8 each within the allotted time). Dirty fries and sticky sausages were highlights on the food. Definitely recommend!

Had a family birthday celebration and everyone enjoyed their time at the Fat Boar. Service was efficient and friendly throughout, food delicious with good size portions, atmosphere good and didn't feel having children was a problem. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the experience and we will certainly be back very soon.

Service was excellent and food was delicious. The place is clean, tidy, modern, a small but well thought out menu and has a great beer 'garden' for those sunny afternoons or evenings. We did have to send a glass of Malbec back because it had an odd taste - a replacement arrived quickly but was only slightly better and was warm (almost mulled wine warm not just room temperature) so suggest maybe better care of opened bottles? I'm unsure about the deposit being per person rather than per booking but understand the reasons why. Other than those minor quibbles everything was great, and definitely recommend - one of my favourite places to eat in Wrexham.

This place is certainly unique. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the location alongside the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. Personally, I would most definitely recommend a table in the upstairs restaurant, not only is it quiet and calm but it also has a decent view. As for the food, I don't think I could really complain about a thing! I've went with the house burger, which was absolutely delicious, in fact it was that good I found myself lacking my finger tips once I've finished 🀣🀣. My girlfriend went with the chicken fajitas, and as you could probably tell from the photos, the presentation is simply beautiful, and it was as tasteful as it looked. One thing we both liked about the fajitas is that you can essentially make it yourself, which at first we thought was silly since, we're paying to not have to do it ourselves at home πŸ˜‚ but it actually worked out great, she could try different combinations and overall really enjoyed her meal. You can also probably tell that the portions are good. I'm 6"8 and that burger was more than filling, in fact half way through I had doubts whether I could finish it or not πŸ˜…. As for the fajitas, we didn't manage to eat all of it. But! They take no offence in asking for a takeaway box which I thought was absolutely amazing!! Because we enjoyed the rest of it at home watching TV πŸ˜‡. And just to mention the drinks... they were just right πŸ™πŸΌ I purposely ordered a Mojito because I've had the privilege of having some of the best monitors made for me by professional bartenders in countries like Spain, Italy or France therefor I wanted to see how a UK restaurant measures up. And while it wasn't the true "beach side" Mojito, it sure wasn't a bad one. It was worth the Β£6. However, the reason I've given it 4* instead of 5*... is mostly boiling down to the menu. While everything else was fantastic, the menu was the first impression we had about what we were having that night, and it wasn't the best impression. The individual dishes haven't been properly titled so and there wasn't any space between them so when one line ended, another started so I wasn't sure what was what really. Unfortunately I haven't taken a picture of it so I can't show it, but it was a little bit of a mess. And another critique was that there were no prices on the menu. πŸ˜… I didn't mind paying more because I knew it was meant to be a "fancy" restaurant and I've had Β£100 set aside for it... but coming in and seeing no prices at all made me feel like they don't want us to know how much we're spending because we might not eat anything πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But coming to the end and seeing the receipt, the prices were rather acceptable too. Β£14 for an absolutely delicious burger? Β£16.50 for (basically) a tray of food? And Β£12 for 2 cocktails? That is not a bad price. Plus they take away the deposit you've paid, off of the total price therefore it's actually not bad at all. Considering, if I were to compare it to pizza hut, which we like to go to fairly often, we usually leave paying around Β£55 πŸ€” so Β£51 for a really nice experience as well as a delicious meal, I think this place is really good! Much recommended!
