We used the upstairs function room for a meal for 23 people yesterday to celebrate 4 birthdays. Even though it was extremely busy in the pub as the rugby was on, all the meals were lovely and service great. Everyone enjoyed it, thank you
Great food at reasonable prices well worth a visit good pint of fosters and wine by the bottle is reasonable at £11
The Nags head is a pretty sure fire bet for good beer and decent food. Visited a few times over the last few months and I've not been let down. Nice to see some of the long term staff still there from when I was in the trade too!
My husband and I have been there several times since I moved to Wrexham in September. The food is always excellent. The staff are really helpful and polite and the beer is well kept. I went there for dinner yesterday on my own as my hubby was away and didn’t feel awkward or intimidated by beng a lone female. A really nice pub.
Roast dinner excellent. Maybe more choice of desserts would be good. Very pleasant and capable staff. Definitely recommend
5* food 5* service! can’t complain about anything at The Nag’s Head. Food was delicious staff were friendly and no waiting. They checked that everything was to our liking and made us feel welcome…what more can you ask for?
Awesome ! Great meal at decent prices and a few pints of well looked after Hobgoblin to wash it down with. Perfect.
Had a lovely night with my sis and Mum on Saturday 21st Nov 2017. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff.... especially Sam Rosser who was an absolute star ..... he made our night!! Great lad, good laugh and couldn’t do enough for us... also Chris the manager who was also a nice friendly guy .... Nice one guys !! xx
Love this pub! Staff amazing and friendly, clean and great food! Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family!
Reasonably priced well cooked meal with an extensive gluten free menu.
Personable staff, lovely atmosphere and good food.
If in the area again, would definitely visit.
Thankyou Mike,Coral & Sophie
got lost on way back to hotel, saw this pub and thought it looked nice so popped in for a pint. lovely ladies behind bar, really bubbley. decided to return for evening meal. Really relaxing atmosphere and and service were excellent and the ladies room was also very pleasant with posh taps. A gem of a place in Wrexham.
What amazing service; nothing was too much bother. My mother-in-law has very specific dietary requirements and they were easily accommodated. I also asked if they could strip the corn off the corn-on-the-cob for our 3 year old son before the meal came out and sure enough they did!
Generous portions, hot food and attentive staff (some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time)! Definitely worth coming along for a meal (also be sure to check out the desserts while you’re here)!
Great food ,lovely sun beer🍺 garden and super friendly staff 😀it’s 1 minute walk from the town centre so it’s just super close to all the shops
Such a great old pub, service was 10/10, walked in, friendly service from the very first moment, a Sunday roast and a few pints, nothing better, if you're ever in Wrexham, drop into this place, we had a great few hours here.
This is a lovely little pub which has been at the heart of Wrexham for as long as I can remember and which my whole family has frequented for years. I go there regularly with my elderly father and we are always met with a warm welcome. Staff are friendly and professional, food is always very good and the environment cosy and relaxed. The Nags caters for all, those just wanting a drink after work or on a night out, to those wanting a meal, I would highly recommend.
Served by Lucy and Coral on a quiet, rainy Monday night. Had dinner elsewhere but followed up with a few bevs here. Always good vibes. Two cocktails for £11.25 totally helped with #cosylives . The two servers were lovely and even shared their last two sweeties with me and my girlfriend. Give these girls a raise! Tip them well and buy some sweets next time your around to pay forward.
Fantastic pub. Just what I wanted. One of the few pubs in Wrexham that do actual meals rather than snacks and burgers. Quiet, relaxing, you can double up on spirits and get a discount. The service was great too. Nice that they asked if I had any allergies. Credit and debit cards accepted. Good beer garden too. Well worth a visit.
What a lovely evening the food was delicious. Thank you Lucy u made our night. Your a fantasic asset to this lovely establishment. 5 stars for Lucy 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely pub, friendly staff and excellent food! We were there early evening and the food was fresh and hot. Super tasty steak.
Thank you Cira and Chef Vinnie.
It was lovely, staff were welcoming. Unfortunately the grill had broken just before we arrived but that’s no one fault. Good was of a good standard and would definitely go again.
Good food with big portions, nice friendly staff too. Would recommend the gammon steak and the Sunday roasts
Lovely friendly staff. Lovely food.
Food always comes out piping hot and in good time. The only thing I noticed on our last 2 visits was once we were served our food no one came back over after a few minutes to ask if everything was ok. Apart from that spot on!

This place is lovely. Raised a pint to Wrexham AFC!
Had great service from Cira, and really delicious dinner! Jam Sponge Pudding was truly a standout. And the chicken pie of the day was super solid. Definitely eat here after making your way into the center of town.
Good atmosphere. Good service. Food looked very good and good value for money. However my hunters chicken was very hard to cut as dry and overcooked! Still a good lunch out though.
First visit since new menu was launched great food sherry trifle cheesecake was lush 😋
Thank you very much for a great time. We went here by chance on a Thursday night and participated at quiz night. Lucy made us feel very welcomed and gave great recommendations at the bar. Greetings from the Bavarian Tourists ;)
