Turned up, they were fully booked, but couldn't do enough to fit us in as we traveled especially to eat here.

Thanks to staff at the bird in hand, who, even though rest off their feet, during our visit, were nothing short of amazing. We were seated promptly and eating our lunch within 10 minutes. Who does delicious, definitely best around! It was worth the hour round trip! Looking forward to visiting again!

Friendly welcome. Great service. Lovely coffee and the Eggs Royale were fabulous. Everything is reasonably priced too. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
Nice pub-hotel, good inexpensive food. Location is good only because nothing else is remotely close to the Lotus Cars Factory. One might even say it’s walkable along country backroads, please be aware of traffic and don’t walk at night.
I like the place. Food. service.just something can't make me love it. We were 1 hour 40 min between seating and food today. 20 min before getting a drinks order. Lovely staff .just enough time in-between service to get wandering if you've been forgotten. Will still be going again when passing though

I had venison bourguignon and my partner had seafood linguine. Both were very nice and we both said it was one of the best pub meals we'd had.
