The George & Dragon - Wray - Photo album

Lovely pub, beautiful food and well priced. A good selection of beers, including cask ales. Friendly staff and locals
Fantastic country pub great pint of ale and it has a large really pretty garden that we will be investigating closer on our next village. The staff were very friendly too
Lovely old fashioned pub, friendly and welcoming staff on a busy fair day at wray. Reasonably priced local ales and nice hot chips. Can't order and pay for food and drinks together though.. Would definitely visit again when in wray
Excellent selection of Ales. Lovely staff, and the food was delicious at a very good price. A proper village pub. The Cumberland sausage n mash was superb.
Turned up to the pub on holiday for dinner. All six of us are feeling very full and happy... Very generous portions of tasty, tasty food. Proper pub grub like it should be, none of this gastro nonsense. Good price too... The misses even said best chips she's ever had!! (And that's saying something).
A gorgeous, traditional village pub, this is hosted by long-serving and valued landlords. Prices are very good in today's marketplace and set deliberately at helpful levels in the current economic climate. Product quality is spit on and the choice is plentiful. The beer garden is one of the nicest y
Although the inside is a bit dated, the staff, food and atmosphere were brilliant! The food alone makes this pub a must go in Wray - the sheer amount of food was staggering and it all tasted incredible. The chips here are some of the best I have ever had!!
We really liked our visit it was fish n chips night takeaway but we were able to sit and enjoy the garden whilst our kids played. Very reasonably priced too £24 for three sets of haddock and chips and drinks hooray!!
This might seem like an odd review, but bear with me. So last night I was cycling around this area and 56 miles into a long hilly ride, disaster happened, my rear wheel locked up. I was stranded, about a mile from Wray. I managed to limp to the George and Dragon, on arrival, the owner and her son, t
Travelled all the way from Gloucestershire with little to no plans of food so just popped here and there around the Hornby area to taste a little bit of everything. Was told to come to this pub and so we did and we had absolutely the best chips I've ever had! Not sure why, but there you go! VERY REA
Lovely country pub, plenty of atmosphere with great staff. The food was really good and at a great price.
A sunny Friday took us for a drive to the south lakes en route we stopped for lunch at the George and Dragon in the village of West Lancashire. We sat out in the garden at the rear . We enjoyed the best value best quality haddock I have had at any restaurant. The lunch was spot on with good service
Friendly country pub with beautiful beer garden, aviary and play area for kids. Our lamb henry was delicious and everyone else's meals looked tasty and substantial. Great place to while away an afternoon.
Very friendly, helpful, real traditional pub. No fancy decor just good food, nice beer and lovely people.
The food here is absolutely superb. I ate here with my family and friends, totalling 4 adults and 5 children. We all had different mains and sampled 4 dessert items. Everything was excellent. Friendly attentive staff and beer was good too.
Friendly and welcoming staff, fitted us in without a prior booking. Food was excellent and portions were huge! Very good in every way.
Lovely hospitality . Good range of beers . Great fresh food prepared by owner . Fantastic menu choice with additional specials . One of my favourite " home cooked " pub restaurants in UK.
Delicious hot pot supper and a pint of Bluebird was spot on at our first G & D fishing club meeting for quite a while because of covid .Although we are looking for more members numbers have increased which was great news 🎣😉
