I love this place...hot delicious food..good friendly service & a plate full of lovely food every time at a very reasonable price. Been here a lot recently and again tomorrow for breakfast...super yummy every time. Can't praise this place enough & looking forward to our Xmas Dinner booked already for 15th Dec �
It was an excellent meal 4 carvery and Brocolli parcel. Great server at our table. Very busy but not rushed at our meal.

Amazing lunch today with the family, food was fab, I don’t eat meat, but opted for the meat free, so much to choose from, might have to go again soon. And pudding of course, yummy .
Have never had better value for money. Which is what it's all about. How much meat can people honestly expect for the price they are paying. I agree the beef used to be tough but this has been improved over the last few years. I never hesitate at a chance to go there. Great value.
Probably the best Toby we have been to. The server was very friendly and efficient, as was the waitress. As it was her last day, it’s a loss for the restaurant. Food was fresh and well cooked. Table was clean and service very quick.
Visited with family and the value for money was exceptional. 4 standard carvery roasts under £10 each. Gentleman behind the carvery was very polite, interactive and pleasure to deal with. Beef was excellent, incredibly tender and a very good choice of accompaniments to choose from. Our table server was also very pleasant and polite.
Plenty of parking, spacious seating areas and very clean and tidy.
Forget to mention the front of house who was also brilliant.

The food was excellent and our carver sparrow was very friendly and informative about the products on the deck.
The only bad thing I can say is the potatoes were not crispy.

The food really is great. You were insanely busy - also great for business. A wish list request would be to have someone manage the ‘check in’ line to see who has a reservation you can seat immediately. You, like any other establishment, are under so much pressure with regard to finding staff but the ones you have there did 100% the best they could. I hope customers are kind to them. They deserve it.
Victoria and Andy were very welcoming and helpful.
I put on my booking that we needed a seat in a quiet area as child is with additional needs and Andy (manager) let my child choose where he felt comfortable to sit and didn't make a big fuss about it either.

We were greeted immediately and told someone would be with us shortly. The server came and was smiley and friendly. Waitress was smiley and friendly too. Felt like a nice place to be. Carvery server was also nice. Made for a really positive experience. Enjoyed the carvery. Well cooked food and nice and hot.
Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the two chefs that served us, jolly and with a good sense of humour. Yorkshire were a bit flat compared to normal but still edible. I can never understand why pasta is served amongst the veg at the carvery. Anyway, everything was tasty as always.
As a delivery driver I was treated with most wonderful respect and customer service. Bailey made by visit to the downlands very welcoming and warm, offering a drink on arrival and a seat to wait. Is delivery drivers don’t often get to have a drink during our shifts, or even receive such a wonderful service as I did. A massive thank you to Bailey made my whole week. I can’t stop thinking about how great of a service I had. I wish there was a thousand baileys!
Went for a carvery with some family today, the service was top notch, didn’t have to wait for drink or to go up to the deck. The food at the deck was hot and fresh. The carver, sparrow, was lovely. Great lunch we all enjoyed it :)
Moved table when requested which was great. Very attentive waiting staff. Wide range of vegetables which was good.
Too long a wait for meat. Queues very long! Quality of food could have been better. Sausages need to be included in regular meals.
Chef’s who goes by the name Jack Sparrow, was amazing and made our night… such a great welcome and asset to the restaurant. Amazing night thanks to him thank you
Absolutely Awesome, the food & service are excellent, and it was very busy last night.
The chefs at the meats were brilliant, full of chat and went out their way for my child.
Would go back, and now I know breakfast is all you can eat for £5.99 why wouldn't you go here.
Extremely busy, in fact, probably the busiest I have ever seen a Toby in all of my visits. Presumably this was due to the latest half price promotion. According to staff they only found out about it on the day and had no time to arrange extra staffing levels.
Whether true or not, they all performed their duties with a smile and a buzz. I can't fault any if them. In case you don't ask later.. big praise for our server Bradley. I would happily encourage him to come work at my establishment (obviously I didn't though).
Natalie was lovely. She helped me alot. There wasn't many options of food as a lot had run out. Mac and cheese and two meats weren't there. But Natalie was very kind and helpful. Thank you Natalie she was so friendly and tried her best with our table.
I was served by Bailey last night he was a lovely server and very attentive, the food was lovely and we really enjoyed are pudding thank you to the chefs and Bailey, we will definitely be returning.
We took a coach of 40 people and was made to feel very welcome. Our waiter Bailey and the manager Elissa went out of their way to make sure everyone had a really enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back and would recommend it
All you can eat self-service breakfast with unlimited filter coffee or tea.. Excellent value and to top it all off, Yorkshire pudding with gravy for good relief. Staff were prompt, smiley and helpful. Restaurant area was clean and roomy with options for larger groups. Recommended.
Great value. Used the "kids eat for £1" deal. It has been very busy but when we arrived there was plenty of fresh meat and vegetables, which were being refilled constantly. Good service. Very clean environment.
