A great traditional pub. Amy behind the bar was very pleasant and her rapport with the customers wad excellent. I was made to feel very welcome and the patrons were accommodating as well. Although I was new to the pub there was no feeling of not being welcome, and you could also have a conversation with people without struggling to here them.
A good friendly local, dog friendly ,good garden area, good service and friendly fellow drinkers
Really good pub . excellent staff.Great atmosphere.Nice garden.
We called up to send our friends a cheeky bottle to say congratulations and Amy sorted this out for us no problem. Super helpful and easy to arrange and our friends loved it. Top customer service, and I haven’t even been in yet! Thanks again, Amy!
Decent old school boozer, few screens and a couple of sky boxes so they always try to get what you want to watch on.
Good snack selection, and will let you bring in takeaways as they don't have a kitchen.
Great pub with character.
Features local Ales and a decent set of beers, but somewhat let down by the usual suspects of Ciders.
Decor is as it should be, not too modern, suitably cosy and incorporating the local history well.
Beer garden is large and features some of the last Apple Trees from the old medieval Orchards. As such the annual Wassail is held by one of those old trees.
Great selection of drinks and the garden is lovely too .well worth a visit.
Lovely cosy pub with open fire and great beers. The garden provided the venue for an annual Wassail event following a torchlit procession and followed by a very funny and entertaining version of the traditional Sussex Mummers play. Great evening and I will definitely find it worth visiting this dear old village pub again.
Very friendly pub, great beer and atmosphere
Nice and friendly staff.
Good local pub, could do with more real beers , but just got new owners, so hoping for more.
