Great pub, beer was kept well and a very good price, Proper Job £3.90 pint, Harveys best £4.50 pint. Inside the pub very tidy and clean, lots of seating, nice garden to sit in. Didn't eat there but food was a good price. I will be going back soon.
We went for Sunday lunch yesterday and I have to say it's the best one I've had in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection. Considering it was new landlords and had only just taken over. Will definitely be going back and would recommend it.
The person behind the bar on our visit wasn't as friendly as I've experienced before. This was the bank holiday Monday and it was fairly quiet so not rushed off their feet too not be friendly.

I’ve had a few meals here and they have all been lovely, fresh and tasty. Very good value for money. Staff are friendly and attentive.

The beer and ambience reminds me of days gone by when a publican could run a proper pub and keep an exceptional cellar.
Not to mention the food which I have to say reminded me of good home cooking.

The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious! Real flavour and seasoning. For £11 that was superb value for such a tasty meal. Booking recommended. Very pleasant vibe/atmosphere there too.

Wonderful to be back in a pub atmosphere. Landlord, landlady and their staff looked after us very well, despite the reason for us being there was sad, we were made very welcome and felt very safe. Stonking pint of Harvey's too.
