Service is super quick! Food comes out quick too and its fresh and piping hot.. nice atmosphere in the pub too and it’s clean unlike another pub near by.
Was trying this again as was dissapointed on last visit. What an improvement. Food was good. Starters were all piping hot. Some of the chips came out only warm. The roast dinner was tasty. Dessert was good. The server Laura was so lovely. Was very busy. Maybe could have done with a few more staff. Would recommend. Had run out of steak so there was none and no mixed grill. Had also run out of some other meals.
I go the the North Star every week to play the quiz. The quiz is brilliant, the food is consistently great and the staff are always so welcoming. They have a new member of staff called Josh who is brilliant. He doesn't stop working and is so helpful.

I was dragged in for a meal last week having heard some decent reviews. I will be honest, my last memories, albeit a few years back, were that it was less than unimpressive, so I was amazed at its complete transformation from microwave quality food and Saturday job staff. It is now warm, inviting and BUSY! Food is better than OK, and staff more than amazing (yes, that is directed at you Sam!). It deserves it's good reviews. Just for interest, the streak was actually OK and the chips were brilliant.
Such amazing pub! Food so delicious and fresh! I took day soup for a lunch. The soup was simply but very tasty witg fresh bread and butter. And I took steak withshrimps. Chips, mushroom, shrimps so delicious!!! Medium rare steak was very good! Just I recommend cook it same minutes less for more juisy.
But I haven't eaten so tasty in a long time and the prices are very reasonable!
Great atmosphere, good and friendly service. I had Sunday roast, reasonable price for food quality. They took a while to serve the food, otherwise a great experience.

It's been a while since I've visited the North Star after always having a bit of a hit and miss experience. I visited yesterday evening with a friend for dinner and drinks and was very impressed. We were greated warmly and seated quickly. Our drinks were served quickly and the gentleman who took our food order was very attentive and gave us more time for us to order, but didn't forget about us.
The food was fab, my steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it, everything came out hot and fresh and it all tasted great. I originally asked for a spiced up curry as I prefer my food spicy but unfortunately couldn't be accommodated at the time. Hopefully I can try it another day!
The garlic and cheese ciabatta was also really tasty, sometimes garlic bread can be a bit boring but this one was really good.
There was live music, which was also very enjoyable but we moved outside as it was a little loud for us to have our catch up. Our puddings were bought out for us, it was no issue that we had moved.
We ordered a bottle of wine that had already been opened and some poured out, so I took it back and it was replaced, no issue and no problems.
We were notified of last orders as well which I thought was really a nice touch.
Everything is so reasonably priced too, I really can't complain about the evening at all, I really enjoyed it and will definitely come back!
I had the Ribeye Steak, medium rare. The Steak was really tender and tasty. The mushroom, onion rings, tomato and chips were perfect.
My wife really enjoyed her fish finger sandwich, and some of my chips. We were looked after very well by Wendy. Amazing value!

Had the best service I'd ever had. The bacon burger with chips was absolutely amazing. Nice n hot . The service was with a genuinely polite lady. Rachel Bishop went above and beyond in her service. She couldn't do enough. Highly recommended
Portion sizes were very generous, food was good, and all staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The only small problem, was the cleanliness or the cleaning product used on the wooden floor inside the restaurant. It seemed to have a very sticky residue on it, you could feel under foot, which was quite unpleasant. Other than this the visit was thoroughly enjoyable, thank you 😊
Visited with a large group this evening having pre-ordered from the set menu. Everyone was impressed by both the quality & quantity of the food. Wendy & the rest of the team did a fantastic job ensuring that the food was served correctly (taking into account a few special requests) & speedily which isn't always easy with a bigger group. We all enjoyed the evening and we will definitely return soon.

Staff very friendly…..but a massive shout out to Rachel who goes above and beyond. Remembers your drinks when we walk in to have a meal. She’s a great asset to you!!!!
Really delicious food & the staff were friendly, helpful & attentive. My wife's rump steak was cooked just right, my Onion Bhaji starter was fresh, hot & crispy - I think there were about 6 smallish Bhaji's so enough to share! The Chicken Tikka Kashmir Style Curry had quite a kick - definitely a plus for me (but might be an idea to show a spicy rating on the menu, I'd say 2 out of 3 chillies!). My wife was over the moon with the sticky toffee pud and also raved about the vanilla pod ice cream that I ordered (we mixed & matched), Bit pricier than Wetherspoons but worth it. Nice clean tables and low background noise (althogh they said it was a quiet night).
The beer garden looked lovely with an arc of wooden booths around the edge, much nicre than the photo in google (wish I'd taken one, will have to go back!
Excellent lunch again yesterday (Wed 19 Aug), lovely tasty food. Although busy, and we were told to expect a 40 mins wait, it didn't actually take that long. Will definitely visit again when in Worthing.
Excellent grub in here. Decent service and overall good place. The dippy burger for me is the weapon of choice. Messy hands, messy face and great selection of lagers which is key for me. If you’re into cocktails then the North Star is a good place to be
