Walked over from Worthing via Cissbury Ring today to our favourite pub today. We were in luck as the burgers were on the specials board! In our view the best burgers in Sussex together with an excellently kept beer (or two) and top service, what more could one ask for? Our walk back to Worthing via Cissbury took a little bit longer due to full tums! An excellent lunch all round.

We are exploring the area with view to moving down. The pub only reassured us we would love the friendly people. Most of whom were in the garden with us it seemed. Lovely food. Great service. Reasonable prices. Thanks all. X

Had a very pleasant lunch while visiting with a friend on a Wednesday lunchtime. We sat in the garden with a small number of other customers although there were a few more people sitting inside as the weather was cool, grey and overcast. I noted that the car park was about three quarters full and there is a covered area in the garden if you wanted to sit in the shade or shelter from the rain. The food and beer were good and reasonably priced and the service was friendly. We'd happily visit again.

Joined friends for a 20th Anniversary meal and blown away by the friendliness from Sally (who is definitely the right person to run a Pub). The food was fantastic, indeed everything was superb. Definitely need to go back again maybe in the Spring to enjoy the amazing outside area.

A group of us dined with you last night and we were blown away, by the unbelievable service and the food, which was incredible. Your staff new every dish and made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. Thank you for giving us a fantastic evening, we have decided that The Gun Inn is our new monthly meet up x We've also heard that you have the cleanest kitchen in Findon!? ;) x

Our first visit, and it was lovely. We had a weekday free, so went in and had a ploughman's lunch. It was full of everything you could possibly want, all very fresh and beautifully presented. The service was fantastic. And we stayed for a few more drinks after our meal in the beer garden. There's plenty of room for either a gathering, or like us, on this occasion, a couple who could squirrel themselves away. We will be back! Thank you

We were in the village for a wedding and had a great lunch and few drinks here. Food was fantastic and service too. We sat in the garden which was a great space. In side was quite strange with lot of small rooms, but I guess it's an old building so opening it up must be hard with planning permissions

We had chips which were nice but hardly enough for us to rate the place on food. Brooklyn zero alcohol beer was a first time for me and excellent. Service was very good and the place is great. The inside has an unusual older vibe and the beer garden is surprisingly huge with a big covered area but plenty of sunny tables. Parking seemed to be the only challenge so arrive early. Hard to say how much we spent.

Really great Sunday lunch. One of the best selection of Sunday lunch vegetables with great tender meat. Venison, beef and lamb all great. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Great wood fire. Allows well behaved dogs.

What a pleasant surprise this place was. Now that sounds like I thought it would be rubbish... I didn't, but I wasn't prepared for just how nice it was. Visited in June during a hot weekend, spent a decent chunk of Friday evening here enjoying beers and some food with my partner. The back garden was buzzing with people, food coming out from the kitchen regularly and the drinks were flowing with attentive staff asking customers if they wanted more as they cleared drinks and plates away. Had some food off the menu (no photos sorry, as I didn't want to be "that guy") which was excellent. A beautiful burger, crunchy fries while my partner had some prawns and other nibbly bits which were lovely (yes I pinched some). If you are after decent food, nice relaxed beer garden drinks this is the place for you. What I would say is that if you are tall, watch the ceiling beams, especially coming out the gents 😉.

Love this little pub. We do not go to many but have made a point since moving here to stop off after a long walk over the downs. Great little garden and will def book for family roasts.

Came here on Sunday for a big family anniversary get together and have to say the roast dinner was the best I've had out in as long as I can remember - really delicious, lovely roast potatoes and super tasty gravy! It's a lovely old pub too, packed with character - friendly staff and a cool head from all despite it being busy. Credit to all the staff for their hard work and friendly nature! Highly recommended, will be back!
