The meal was great. Service was good, but what repeatedly let's the Applewood down is the deserts. Now that it's under new management, I can't fault anything.

Came for a too good to go and got brilliant service and food been a few times and always a lovely group of staff, especially Adam and Libby.
Called in for a late lunch (2.00pm). Asked for a table in a quiet area of a busy restaurant. Our server showed us to an area , away from the ' Family dining area'but quite close to the main entrance and this turned out to be a very good choice.

Really nice carvery for evening meal. Not too busy and large enough for children to be kept entertained in their own area. Expected it to feel much busier so a good overall atmosphere for everyone.

Come here with the family weekly for Wayne's pub quiz and we often get food. The food and service has been much better in recent days and the pun quiz is just fantastic. We've been attending for years now and it's just a great time, great atmosphere and a good laugh. Thanks to the staff and to Wayne
This has been a family favourite for years. However, the service is a little off recently. My friends food arrived way before mine did and she had finished before mine came. The side orders to my main were cold as though it had been waiting.

The cakes were excellent, on the expensive side for what you get, but they were large slices & the Eclair was gigantic.

WOW, it was delicious 😋 the meats so juicy, portion size so generous and the selection of vegetables so varied. Compliments to the Chef today, Mark, lovely character 😊
We came for tea, after a very busy day. My husband had the carvery with roast beef. The beef was very tasty and everything else was very tasty. I had cheese, onion and potato pie. It was delicious, and so were my veg and roast potatoes.
