We've had this place on our list to try and visit for a while now and today we finally had the chance. It's a gorgeous little tearoom set in a lovely spot just outside Clumber Park. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. There is a designated area indoors to sit if you have your dogs with you, the staff made a big fuss of our two pooches and treated them with dog biscuits. We both ordered sandwich platters with a side of chips, it was all just delicious and very well presented. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again 😊

Lovely location and food - just be aware that breakfast menu finishes at 11.30am and lunch doesn't start till midday.

Saturday afternoon visit for 2. This is an old school in the middle of nowhere just off the main road and we have visited several times. This time we had lunch. It is a traditional cafe restaurant with about 20 covers indoors and a number of picnic tables outside. It specialises in home made scones and they are fresh and delicious. The limitations of the building mean that disabled access is limited. The main door is narrow and there is a small step to overcome. Having said that the staff are helpful and accommodating as you try and get in. This place is usually busy so call before you go...although when I called this time I couldn't get through, they fitted us in on spec. There is parking available although at peak times you may end up on the road. The site is very popular with cyclists. There used to be table clothes which made the place look much nicer, not sure why this has stopped but it looks much more "motorway services" than it used to. I had carrot and corriander soup which was substantial and delicious along with cheesy chips. The chips were simple oven chips but we're well cooked and tasty. We also had a chilli jacket which was pleasant, the chilli had a slightly synthetic taste but wasn't unpalatable. The decor is shabby chique with pine floors and a high, school hall, ceiling, lovely atmosphere. On another visit I had the Sunday roast and that was amazing, really tasty and well done. Sadly no whole milk for lattes and flat whites so be warned if you love your coffee. The tea was excellent. I will definitely go back, especially for the cakes and scones. If you found my review helpful I would be grateful for a 👍.

Have been before, but today it was a lovely sunny day sitting outside. Ordered some lovely sarnies which included salad and crisps, lovely plate full, coffee very nice too. My only negative here is that can't take my dog in which doesn't matter during sunny months but chilly during cold months, but definately a lovely old school building to stop and have tea, cake etc.

Nice little tearooms. Quick service & tasty food. Gluten free, veggie & vegan options available. Flat paved car park with disabled parking. Gets better reviews than the nearby cafe at Clumber Park. Photos include vegan cottage pie, gluten free apple & blackberry crumble & custard.

This was the first time we've been. The main car park entrance is wide enough for one car, but not two (one in one out) the car park is tight and the access to the tea room is a tad uneven. But, It's an old building that's been there many years, so what do you expect! The staff were lovely and accommodating, the food was prompt and also lovely and reasonably priced. There is seating inside and out but again, it is limited (we got a picnic blanket out of the car and sat on the grass) A very quaint, traditional tearoom .

I have passed this place on many an occasion being somewhat oblivious to it as it looks like a scout hut! However, whilst out on a Mountain Bike Ride today, I happened upon it again and decided that I would go inside. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is wonderfully decorated - the colour scheme it bang on! The food was great as well - I had a bacon and egg cob, a latte and a cherry scone. Beautiful! Shame I couldn't sample all of the delightful looking cakes that were on offer, however, that would just have been glutenous :-) Definitely worthy of a visit. They really do need to spruce the outside up a bit though, and get some kind of advertising board put up on to the main road as I would imagine that most people who use that road aren't even aware it exists, which is a shame!! I will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
