Fantastic food well presented and the quality and taste of the food was amazing. Also love the decor and the layout of The White Lion. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome big congrats on the refurbishment of the pub/restaurant and to the chefs and all staff will definitely come again and recommend The White Lion
Bit of a ‘late post’ but myself and daughters visited here after wondering who in Worksop served food late. We had a warm welcome, a fabulous bottle of wine and a lovely meal. Service was spot on and definitely no food left on the plates, always a good sign �

Lovely food and atmosphere upon arriving to leaving the White Lion. The staff were not only attentive but they were smiley and welcoming, ensuring we had the best experience possible. Would highly recommend!
I went with 5 friends to enjoy a meal and a few laughs. We were fortunate enough to be caught up in the ambience and fun of the spooktacular Halloween event which made for some ghoulish waiting staff! The food was absolutely stunning - we all enjoyed 3 courses and I loved the extensive gin menu - I recommend the strawberry gin! All in all we had a brilliant night and we will certainly be back for more!

Firstly the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The Atmosphere is fun and friendly. Lovely food and nothing is too much trouble. My friends leaving party was held here on Halloween! What a party!! Highly recommend for venue 5* from me easy x
Friendly staff, maybe putting a slice of lime or lemon in my vodka drink woukd have been a bonus but that’s not a deal breaker for me. I asked about eating and although I was pre-warned we may have a wait for food it was a quick service with very little waiting in the end. The young man who waited our table was very friendly and polite. Definitely came across as happy in his job (believe he was called Reece/Rhys not sure of spelling)
Food was lovely - I only wish I could have eaten it all but the servings are that generous I couldn’t. Very good value for money. I’d definitely return
Went this evening with friends had a fabulous meal and the staff were all lovely, had the baked Camembert then blade of beef (omg) then lemon tart delicious.
Had the pleasure of a fabulous Sunday lunch here on 4th March. What can I say! The service was fabulous, the presentation of the meal was amazing and the taste... exceptional! All polished off with a gorgeous bottle of sauvignon � if excellent food and wine is your thing, then this is your place! However, I have to mention their enormous selection of gins too! Something for everyone - we will be back very soon, thank you!!
Me and my husband have just been to the White Lion for the pie night. Amazeballs!! The best meal we have had eating out. Enjoyed every bite. Stuffed! Great selection of gins too! �Will definitely be back!!
This was the chosen venue for drinks & buffet after an Uncles funeral today .I found out the carpark is fairly small with very tight parking spaces ,infact I decided to park off site in the end along with another relative as i didn't want to struggle getting out of my car or risk my car getting a dent .Inside I found the pub very clean with plenty of available tables in different areas.The staff on duty were very pleasant indeed when serving drinks behind the bar or glass collecting.Theres a large outdoor seating area for when the weather is good .Toilets are located upstairs & I found the gents to be nice & clean. Apart from the parking up issues on arrival, I enjoyed my visit to this pub & wouldn't hesitate on returning back again in the future .
We called the White Lion before we went for Sunday Lunch in advance as we have a very nervous dog, so we asked them if there was somewhere we could sit outside, out of the way. They were very busy but so accommodating!! We decided to have a couple of drinks but not to stay and eat as our Lab was getting nervous. They boxed us up a Sunday lunch to take back to our lodge and it was AMAZING!! So tasty and the meat and roasties were delicious!! Highly recommend!! Lovely staff and the service was great. Thank you for understanding and accommodating to our needs!!
Fantastic food, entertainment and drinks. We went on a Wednesday for some food and quiz and was a brilliant night. Brought our dog along which staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Chose streak and ale pie and it did not disappoint. Chips were fantastic and portion was very generous wish I could have fitted a dessert in! Decent selection of premium lagers and served a variety of hot and cold drink. Pub quiz was well attended and enjoyable, well organised. Only visiting but would be a regular spot should it be a local. Thanks very much!
Went in Sunday for their Live Mic night… brilliant night, a good atmosphere, few too many Blue Moons and a few too many glasses of wine… Checked out the menu and decided we’d come back as it looked nice. We came back tonight and both had the Greek Kebab… amazing… loved it. Recommendation was the pie but had my heart set on the kebab and to be fair the pie looked amazing. So we’ll have to come again and try that for sure. Had the cheesecake and Brownie for dessert both which was incredible… was served by Tom who is absolute credit, always makes us laugh and feel welcome.
This was our first visit. A welcoming pub with friendly staff and great service. We thought this was a Greene King pub for some reason, as the menu seemed a little familiar. However that's where the similarities end, the food had a home cooked feel and was amazing. We came away with a doggy bag and look forward to finishing this off at home.
Simply a lovely place with great people where a lot of thought and preparation has gone into the food.
My husband and I visit this lovely pub often, being local. The menu is varied and we have enjoyed everything we have tried, although particular favourites are the Greek kebabs and the steaks. The staff cannot do enough for you; friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Great selection of drinks. Beautiful beer garden and most importantly a lovely, upbeat atmosphere.

Ok this isn't the cheapest place but my god the quality of the food is fantastic and you definitely get what you pay for . I've had a gastric sleeve so can't manage loads but I ordered the tapas trio and some onion rings which I still couldn't finish. My friend who is a good eater had smoked mackerel pate for starters and the steak & Ale pie for main and she couldn't even finish it . She couldn't praise the food enough. The staff are nice. My only criticism is the music that was playing in the restaurant wasn't good it was the type of music a young person would have blaring in the car. I asked very politely if it could be changed and I was told it would be but from what I can tell all they did was switch off the speaker in the restaurant side .
Fantastic place. Never been before. We took the dogs for a walk and sat outside in the beer garden with a couple of drinks. Had a great selection of draughts and the food looked amazing. Will be going back for some food next time. Will update when been....So now been for food and WOW.. the food is incredible. I had a simple pizza but everything else looks really special. Would 100% recommend 👌
Inside and outside dining both dog friendly indeed all staff very accommodating of dogs in the pub.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and very fair prices. Can definitely recommend the Parmesan Chicken.
Friendly environment, excellent staff Food was great. not only dog friendly but dog encouraged. Had a separate menu for dogs. All around a lovely place to sit, drink and/or eat.
