Can not recommend this pub enough! It’s the only place we will go to eat because we know we will always get great meals, great service for a great price! Tonight we took our daughter out for her 7th birthday, it was so busy when we arrived, but the staff were amazing, food was brought out in a reasonable time for how packed it was, food was AMAZING!! Tilly and a gent (whose name I didn’t catch) made a massive fuss of our daughter without even been prompted, got all the surrounding tables singing and put candles in her strawberry dessert!! She has said that she wants to come every birthday because she had the best time ever �� Can’t thank the enough ��
Visited yesterday, the meal I ordered was really good! Great portion size and tasted great! Part of my order didn’t come out straight away but on asking where Part of my order was, it was fetched straight out and I was also given a refund for the item that was late out. Fantastic service! Great place to visit. Will definitely be visiting again.
Fantastic food as always and really good service. We both had the chicken and ribs combo. Very generous portion and our child's meal was excellent too.
We come a couple of times a month, my kids love it, they have plenty of choices on the kids menu and Iv never had any complaints about my food either. The staff are fantastic, always helpful and friendly and can't do enough for you. Keep up the good work guys :-)
Party of 40 visited yesterday for my 40th & my daughters 16th birthday celebrations. Massive thank you to all the staff, all our meals were delicious. Thank you for accommodating our balloons and bringing out the cake much appreciated,they even provided napkins. We visit regularly and are never disappointed with the service or food. Staff are always friendly � Thanks!!
Been today for first time we had carvery just have to say not only the food was lush but the customer service was second to none wheelchair and child friendly will definitely be returning and would highly recommend thank you ��
Rang up Sunday about 10 in the morning asked for a table for 7 between 1 and 2 arrived just gone 1 and table was waiting for us. The service and staff were impeccable and the carvery delicious well done to you all.
Thank you to the staff at King William IV for going the extra mile and making one little girls special day so perfect! You were so thoughtful and pulled it altogether last minute which we are very grateful for. It really is the little things that make a huge difference.

We had not booked a table only one thing let our visit down this time was we were sat under a air conditioning fent and it seemed a bit cool when we first sat down at the table
Been here lots of times over the years
Food was still as good as always and had a really lovely time with my wife and 4 of our family

Always warm,friendly and inviting.slight changes to menu with new additions but still had my favourite classic smoothed chicken and the new bannoffe cheesecake is definitely a winner😋
If I could give the staff 7 stars out of 5 I would. I love love this place, the staff are what makes me come back, and most importantly the chefs know how to cook a steak so gooooood! Don't hesitate to come here. Blooming lovely place. Clean, tidy, inviting, and feels like a home away from home with how comfortable I am there. Thanks guys!
A brilliant meal, cleared my plate and the pudding was nice.
A bit quiet at 7:00pm on a Sunday, but just about enough people in to make it appear open. Food was cooked to a better standard than expected, so a nice bonus. It’s never bad, but as Brewers Fayres go, this was very good. Our go to cheap meal out.
Good food, I had steak and it was well cooked to medium rare with chips, onion rings etc. The other food order was fish and chips which was also very good. Staff paid particular attention to my allergy requirements. Good range of beers and wine. Excellent sundaes for dessert. Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable price for what we had. Will definitely go back.
Had a lovely meal here with family. Really enjoyed the food, it was all really nice, came out pretty quickly and the staff were all friendly while we were there.

My recent visit was an absolute delight, offering a carvery experience which was certainly the highlight of our evening.
I was accompanied by my partner and his family, it was a lovely afternoon for a meal and a chat.
A delightful surprise was the option to include mac and cheese as part of the carvery selection, not a usual carvey option but I could never turn it down.The mac and cheese was a comforting delight, rich and creamy, perfectly complementing the rest of the meal, Well, atleast I thought so anyway.
One noteworthy incident involved the air conditioning, which left my mother-in-law feeling uncomfortably cold. A polite request to the staff led to an immediate and friendly response. The lovely lady attending to us didn't hesitate to turn off the air conditioning, displaying a genuine willingness to ensure our comfort. Her pleasant demeanor and swift action were refreshing. I'm very thankful for that.
It's a bit out of the way of where I live but I would certainly like to visit again. Thank you again.
Came here with my partners family for a carvery and everything was perfect.
I've only been once but on this occasion all the veg looked perfectly cooked.
Some places it can look a mess or frozen. That's pretty much all I care about when it comes to a carvery.
I also had mac and cheese which was an option for the carvery which seems pretty much standard now.
Great mixed grill. Good quality and fast service. Worth a visit...
I had the carvery which is available on Sundays from 12pm to around 4 pm.. it's £9.99.. and excellent value.. there's a choice of three meats, Yorkshire pudding and a wide variety of vegetables and roast potatoes, layonnaise , dourphinose potatoes. Cauliflower cheese. Macaroni cheese. Parsnips carrots peas stuffing and gravy.. it's very good value for money.

As a frequent visitor at King William I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal, bad service or bad experience (have been going around 15 years)…
We visited tonight and strayed from our usual mixed grill order, my wife had the rump steak and I had the smothered platter and we are so glad we did, we both agreed after our meals it was probably the best meal we’d ever had there, so much so that we asked that our compliments be passed onto the chef(s). Everything was cooked perfect and the servings were very generous to say the least!
The restaurant always did have a very good family atmosphere but recently is has been on a different level and is such a clean & pleasant place to eat or just pop in for a drink - a credit to their welcoming, cheerful and ‘can’t do enough for you’ staff.
James behind the bar (you can’t miss him, he’s about 7ft tall) is brilliant, when not serving customers he kept my daughter amused and entertained which just added to the very pleasant evening.
I cannot recommend The King William enough, if you do decide to visit I can guarantee you won’t leave disappointed!

Delicious food, very friendly, polite staff as well, always a must. Relaxed, easy atmosphere, definitely recommend coming here.
One of few places that haven't dramatically raised their prices this year. Staff are friendly. Even when they were busy we were not waiting long for our food. Good place for families.
Came with my sister for lunchtime meal. Lucky we had booked they were really busy. We decided to have lunchtime special which is 2 for £9.49, jacket potato with chilli and smothered chicken. Obviously portions were smaller, but still filling. The staff were helpful explaining there might be a short wait as they had a large party in. Probably 10- 15 mins not that long really, food was well cooked and presented. On the whole it was nice to meet up with my sister and have a lovely relaxed meal I hadn't had to cook myself.
