Just back from our second family gathering of the year at the Old Ginn House. Love the place. The staff cannot do enough for you. The menu is extensive and the food is excellent. The regular breakfast is huge so glad there was an option for a smaller portion. Everything is freshly cooked. We will definitely be back!
Always go here for a meal with my other half, food is fantastic, and the staff are really nice, would recommend this place for food to anyone :-)
Haven't been here for a while even though we live down the road,but must say that everything has gone up a notch in quality. Love the refurbished bar and restaurant areas, comfort and class while still maintaining the relaxed Inn atmosphere. The food has gone up two notches with excellent choice and quality alongside lovely presentation. Could easily compete with a lot of city restaurants. We have stayed here while family have stayed in our house, the room and breakfast were excellent . I am pleased that there has been a modernisation and improvement of the bar and restaurant to match the standard of the bedrooms. This is a local gem and very good value. My sons who live in cities were impressed when they looked at our room. The staff are attentive and a credit to the hotel.
Been here quite a few times now with my husband and sometimes the kids. Its probably the only place the kids always eat a full meal everytime they come with us. They even have colouring pens and pictures to keep them entertained. Its a realaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and really good prices. Highly recomended.
Stayed over last night 26th August at short notice . We got a family room as did not want 2 single beds . The room was lovely and clean . Only down turn was the room was quite warm even with the windows open . But it was summer so not much could be done about it . We went over for tea but never thought we had to book a table . The waitresses was really nice and said that we could wait for a table but was looking at 2 hours . We decided just to wait and have a drink . Someone never turned up so we were seated within a hour . We ordered our food and was not disappointed it was lovely ...and I was told that the real ale was nice as well . Had a comfortable night bed is really firm. We had the full breakfast which was included in the price of the room. And it was really big and lovely that matched with the pot of real coffee was just fantastic. Would I go back again you bet I would .a real gem of a place in the English country side .
Fantastic food, friendly staff, room spacious & very clean extremely comfortable bed. Would recommend staying there. We will definitely stay there again.
This place is just lovely, excellent value for money, excellent friendly customer service, immaculately clean, modern room and delicious food, both evening meal and Cumbrian grill breakfast. Ideal for both Lakes and coast. Just perfect.

Pay a little bit extra, get alot better. Good food, friendly staff, never had any complaints. Probably no good if your on a diet.
Have stayed here twice recently ( 3 nights each time ) and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful food and very friendly staff along with a very comfortable triple room make this a place we would return to again.
