Went for a birthday meal with friends The staff were out of this world could not do enough for us. The food was 2nd to none and not expensive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Always a warm welcome. A great Menu with lots of choices including for vegetarians. Cosy atmosphere inside and lovely outdoor seating too. We have visited a few times and can highly recommend.
Had a lovely meal with friends here on 5 May. Service was friendly, quick and food very tasty...my friend was ecstatic over her Shropshire chicken! Good portion sizes meant we unfortunately didn't have room for a dessert. Very nice evening and reasonable price...we will return
We have been visiting here for yrs & the food is always lovely& plenty of, staff & owners are always freindly .& even the locals in there say hello ,A lovely cosy country pub with a nice garden in summer . Highly recommend
Such a lovely little old fashioned pub in the heart of the village never been before but will now go back on regular basis as its smashing also serving great food .
Pleasant enough but unfortunately wouldn’t revisit. The food is reasonably priced but not the best, we had a Sunday roast so cannot speak for the whole menu. There was also little atmosphere, and not many smiles. Lovely location and peaceful venue.
What a find! A beautiful Sunday dinner with fresh perfectly cooked veg, plenty of lamb + amazing roast potatoes served in a timely manner by friendly helpful staff! All of this with a calm ambiance!
Went there with my girlfriend, 3 month old baby and our Spaniel, and had a great time. The service was excellent, food was delicious and range of drinks was great (for reasonable prices too).

It was possible to choose what you preferred with each dish ie; potato and veg, salad or chips.
The portion sizes were good and the prices ok as the food was very good.

Driving into the village of Worfield set the scene - a beautiful, hot, summer's afternoon and with the sun low in the sky, a game of cricket was taking place - so very English!

Great little village pub with a log burner in the bar so the perfect place for a drink after a walk. Food was also good and very generous portions!

A hidden gem. I highly recommend the Dog and Davenport after having a Christmas meal with a large group of friends. The food is wonderful, the staff are friendly, the environment is cosy and the service was great.
