I'm relatively new to Worcester and on a whim thought I would pop in to the library on Saturday with my 4 year old to take a look at a couple of books...two hours later...eight books under our arms I was dragging her away. What an absolutely amazing place. Great / vast selection of books, chill out spaces to encourage excitement in reading and NOT a librarian in sight with a frown at the ready or pursed lips ready to say... shhhhhh, in fact quite the opposite. Great place, great people just simply amazing. Thankyou to all that work there and the great inspiration that created such a fantastic place.

The Hive is awesome. The only let down was when someone nicked all the Games Workshop books, must've been desperate for those Warhammer yarns. Think they've replaced them now, though. It is top.

I love The Hive, we moved here from London about a month ago and i'm sure i've spent half my time here. My 2 year old book worm absolutely loves the humongous range of children's books, she loves running round and playing on the rocking chairs and the those lovely little reading nooks. We both love all the events that they run as well. I like doing work there as there are plentiful places to work in peace, the resources are fantastic and the cafe is really lovely and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

I'm really new to Worcester so I don't really know anyone here. I have just had a baby 3 weeks ago and have been going to 'baby bounce' and 'baby latte' which have been fantastic. I have met other mums and also got invaluable advise from Janet who runs the 'baby latte' breastfeeding group. The Hive is a fantastic place to meet people or just chill with a coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.

I have used The Hive as a UoW student for a couple of years and I love it. Brilliant selection of literature, helpful staff, comfortable seating and a good number of PCs. It's nice and quiet, which is good when you're studying, but it feels relaxed and quite homely. I like the fact you can eat and drink there too. Good views and fabulous architecture. All in all a brilliant place to be.

First visit to The Hive and I was so impressed. Not been in a library since Foregate Street. Very easy to join, helpful staff, nice coffee area and using computer was fantastic. Only saw level one and looking forward to a further look round.

Great facilities, nice environment, open late - a really nice (and free) place to spend some time. Can find a quiet place to do some work (with cafe coffee) or to have fun pouring through the children's books and enjoy the play sections. Worcestershire team involved should be proud of this library, it's top class.

Very nice place. I love coming in here whenever I visit Worcester. This place has lots of great facilities including a wide variety of rentable books, loads of Windows computers, rentable meeting rooms, communal areas, a council service centre (Worcester Hub) study areas and a business centre. The building is a very sleek and modern building, it has a nice tall atrium, wooden rails and generally nice interior and exterior. Everything here is well lit, very clean, in good condition and well maintained. The lifts here are very reliable, quick and efficient so you won’t have to wait long for a lift and you will get to your floor very quickly. As I said, there is loads of comfy seating about which is great if you want to find a place to relax on a tiring day. The only issue i have to say is the public WiFi doesn’t really work at all and doesn’t provide internet access when connected so you may have to bring a mobile hotspot or an Ethernet cable with you.I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to study, host a meeting, looking to rent a book, need access to a computer or are just looking for a nice relaxing place to sit and unwind!

Amazing place to study and get some work done. What sets this place apart is how integrated both the university and the public libraries are and how rich and up-to-date the selection of books is. Fantastic upkeep as well.

A decent cup of coffee. The library itself is impressive if architecturally not to everyone's taste.

This is a great place to come. Whether you want to grab a coffee or something from the cafe or get a book. I use it for research, either on the computer or the archives. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. You can also simply grab a sandwich and sit outside and enjoy the view.

I work from home, so have to get out now and again to have a walk and a change of scene. This is the ideal place to work for an afternoon. Light, airy, interesting, civilised. Lots of desks, so you can usually find somewhere quiet. If you want proper silence, there's a room for that up top. There's free power and WiFi. Super helpful, friendly library and cafe staff (even in the face of some challenging customers). As for the architecture, I wouldn't want every building to look like this, but I'm really glad this one does.

An impressive building that still retains a feeling of relaxed friendliness. A great place to read or study, striking a good balance between books and technology. In the heart of the city and connected to a main shopping centre, it couldn't be better situated.

I'm in my element at the Hive surrounded by books and historical references. One of my favourite places to visit and spend an hour or so browsing the shelves. Furnished areas for reading and plenty of tables and surfaces for working. Great that it opens late so there's no excuse not to have a book.

Great building which is always at the correct temperature. Plenty of space for study including silent spaces. Computers are reliable if a little sluggish and availability can be compromised if it is especially busy. This is probably only the case since it is such a great place to work or play games. Only other downside is the toilets since people do not keep them clean making the staffs job harder and the experience a little less pleasant. That said toilets on multiple floors is a definite positive.
