Pretty cool place with American food and a nice atmosphere. There is plenty of parking. They have a lot of tables outside with boots named after different states. The menu is big, a lot of fried food as typical for the American cuisine. Wings and pulled pork were okay. Chips were very crispy but seemed like the oil they were fried in wasn't that fresh. However, I really liked the fried chicken, which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the outside. Service was friendly and fast. The place has this very cool vibe and they even have a small film room for kids.
Had a lovely dinner here to celebrate my brothers birthday. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Being a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of vegetarian options, I had the Hickory’s smokehouse Veggie Burger which was seriously the best vegetarian burger I have ever had. The portion sizes were more than enough, we even had to take some home. We had a selection of milk shakes, I had the maple pecan one which was delicious. After eating, my brother was served a free waffle and sparkler along with a lovely rendition of “happy birthday” from the servers and many other guests, followed by a free biscoff milk shake! We were all very happy with the service, food and overall environment!! There is also a lovely little cinema room which was playing Toy Story 4 which was a lovely addition to our evening.
Thank you very much for a lovely night, I’ll definitely be returning!
Amazing! Really reminded us of our trip to America earlier in the year! Food was delicious, my partner and I took on the platter for 2! It defeated us but gave it a good go 😂 the mac & cheese was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I had their 🍇 grape soda and it was amazing!
Amazing experience from start to finish, we really felt like we were in America.
Our waitress Emily was fantastic with recommending her favourite items on the menu. The food was incredible and we will definitely be back when we are next in the area.
Hickories is a great family restaurant just located by the river Severn and cripplegate Park. It has a huge park and play area next to it so kids won't get bored and there's something to do before and after food.
The food here is amazing. Top quality. However very expensive but obviously to be expected. The staff are very polite and treat everyone with the upmost respect.
Great for family meals and birthday meals. You can book a table in advance. The best tables are outside in the booths and under the terrace. Plenty of room inside. Big choice of drinks at the bar and there is table service but you do have the choice to go to the bar whenever you like. The milkshakes here are also to die for! Please get one.
Toilets easily accessible. Plenty of outdoor room, staff very attentive checking if everything's okay and will do their best to make your experience the best.
Definitely recommend for a special event.
Enjoyed a date night on a week day here, the service was great and the food was delicious. Their Tuesday offer was actually a very generous portion that I struggled to finish so a great deal and you get your money's worth! Also really recommend the poutine, a rare treat and really tasty.
The service from Matthew was impeccable you could tell he was genuinely interested in his customers!!
The food was excellent best onion rings ever!
We will definitely return everything was perfect <3

We came here for a big birthday celebration!
The atmosphere is great with the restaurant was quite busy with a mixture of families and friends.
The decor is quite dark with loud background music.
We had a large table at the back by the exit and toilets.
We all had something different, the food was great and all came out together which is a bonus.
It was fresh, hot and the portion sizes were generous.
Some people managed a dessert.
The drinks were nice but pricey.
When we arrived we had water put on the table and a packet of popcorn, which is a nice touch.
Right by our table was the movie room.
playing different films through the evening with cinema style seating.
There are very cute huts outside for eating too, with their own heating source or be great in the summer.
The service was good throughout the meal.
We will definitely be visiting again.
The food here is always so delicious, and the servings are always really generous.
The staff are always very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere here is always wonderful, with a lot of fun decor in and outside.
Parking and location is also an added bonus!
One of our favourite places to eat in Worcester.
On the other side of the river away from the main part of the city centre but there’s a car park, and it’s easy enough to walk to from the city centre anyway.
Has as much of an authentic American feel to it as a restaurant in the UK can whether you sit outside or inside. I would recommend booking even if you think it’s going to be quiet as it’s usually pretty busy. We didn’t book on this occasion but they had some free booths outside which was a nice addition during the pandemic.
The food is always great here. I used to eat meat so have eaten some of their non veggie dishes but usually I head straight for the mac and cheese now which is delicious. Also really love the cheesy garlic pretzels they do. Their desserts are also pretty amazing particularly the marshmallow dessert that you cook yourself over a mini table top fire pit. That’s fun.
I do wish they had more veggie options that’s probably my only criticism! But I do understand it’s an American grill. Anything is possible these days though!
They never fall short on service at Hickory’s which I assume is because they are going for the entire American vibe as they take their customer service seriously over there. Servers are always really friendly, prompt and happy to help with anything.
Also there’s a little cinema which is cool.
Side note: tell them if it’s your birthday! You might get a nice surprise :)
10/10!
Lovely garden on a sunny afternoon , friendly staff welcome of water and popcorn . Brisket tacos and half rack of ribs with coleslaw and chips was good. I’m sorry the line “ they eat their food warm n Texas” wasn’t good enough for us - food not hot enough. Can’t be said about the churros which were excellent.
A constructive criticism - Tap Coke and Pepsi are very very different to Bottled drink - the latter was not available - not good and no alternatives sugar free.
A little overpriced for what you get at £45 for two but enjoyable.
It was my first time going here I loved it, the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere was great, staff were very helpful and all have excellent customer service, nothing was too much trouble, and also it's the very first restaurant/ pub I know that have thought of families and children they have plenty of things for the kids to do for example colouring at the table while they wait for their food, a cinema room, and an outdoor play equipment to keep kids entertained while your waiting/ eating your food. Food was fantastic and the pudding was fantastic too. Will definitely be back and well worth the money if you're looking for somewhere to eat and take the kids too I would definitely recommend it to anyone 😊
Fabulous food, friendly staff but very professional.
Very good authentic American food! A place where we’d come definitely again! Great taste and a good service 🫶🏻

Great food, service and atmosphere.
A lovely evening catch up with friends. Service and food was excellent and the staff did an amazing job at catering for food allergies. Their system was well organised for allergens and everything double checked. I loved my meal as they took care in making sure it was right.
I had always hesitated eating here because of food allergies but I will definitely return. Great system and great staff. Well done Hickory’s 👏

Another fantastic meal at a Hickory’s - same attention to detail with any food allergies. Menus are slightly different between the two places as well. This was busy, definitely need to book.
I do like Hickory's, especially the brisket!!! The mac & cheese is also good, & the fried chicken. I feel they could do something more with the fries, (I usually leave them, they're a bit dry & plain). Milkshakes are also good although I'd like to see some simple flavours there, like strawberry, and a banana shake. too.
On this occasion, my birthday, I ordered the USDA slab, although I'm pretty sure I just got the baby back ribs. It didn't look like the menu photo & was considerably smaller, and didn't have much meat on there. Also a bit dry.... Anyway, I just wish I'd ordered the brisket, it is much much better.
Service was good initially but it was painful trying to get condiments, and later the bill, and to pay at the end.
We always ask for a quiet table, it never happens. We have several autistic family members, including myself and ideally need a table tucked away from everyone. Sitting in the booths opposite the kitchen was definitely not quiet, and the floor, and in turn the seats move with every person walking up and down. I know you can't control the customers, and realise not everyone understands autism; we are very sensitive to sound, touch, movement and smell, but it is somewhat overwhelming in there.
