Update 17/06/2023:
Visited again this evening for a meal and really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel, the service from waiting staff was excellent and they were very friendly. There was a bit of a wait on food and especially so for the post-meal coffees, but otherwise was great all-round! Lovely beer garden and a nice, chilled out vibe - beats the usual rowdiness we tend to find at pubs this time of year and was nice to be able to enjoy each other's company. 😃

Stunning, picturesque pub set within a tranquil countryside, a real nice spot for drinks. I seem to recall having food here many years ago which was excellent too, but have visited a few times most recently for drinks and always had an excellent pint (Wye Valley all the way!).
From start to finish, I enjoyed everything. The beer garden is beautiful and big with a pleasant outlook over fields. The pub itself is spotless, great bar area and the restaurant area is separate if you want a more country Inn experience. Now, onto the food. Every course was tasty and plentiful. No baby portions here. Just proper food cooked well and presented beautifully. Anyone visiting here must have an epic cheesecake pot......you won't move for an hour afterwards but it's worth it! I also feel it is priced just right as you definitely get what you pay for.
Visited unannounced and without reservations on a busy evening, staff were able to fit us in at short notice and we enjoyed a fine evening meal. Many thanks to the Manager who when asked to order a taxi, ran us back to the canal in his own car!!
