Just moved to the area and found the jewel in the crown
Best place in the area. I'm always here having a great meal
The curry I had here was some of the best I have ever had 5/5
I was staying in the area while on vacation and got take out - butter chicken and an appetizer - service was quick and very friendly. The butter chicken was delicious - fresh (not rubbery) with a great fragrant rice and perfect amount of spice. I was very surprised to have read the negative reviews afterwards but am grateful I didn't see them before or would've missed out on a great meal.
Best curry I've had in a long time at this price point. Four of us had a starter, 4 mains, 3 rice, Bombay aloo and paratha and 3 coffees afterwards and it was £20 per head inc tip! They don't have a licence so you can BYOB. I ordered a chicken madras but actually got a lamb madras in error. I'm normally reticent to order lamb dishes because they tend to be quite tough but this was very tender and absolutely delicious, in fact the madras flavour/heat was absolutely spot on and a delight for me. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and agreed we will be returning in the near future. The brewed coffee was served with cream and brown sugar in a nice large cup and was a level above the normal instant coffee a lot of restaurants serve now.
A regular on eating in and moreso on take outs, flavours are always good, just would like more meat or fish in the dishes like of auld
Dined in with family . Great service and lovely food . Very attentive friendly staff . Food was out fast and really good food too .would definitely eat in there again .5 stars all the way .
Great food, reasonable prices and good service
Other people's reviews seem a bit damning? The Royal India serves great food, reasonably priced, staff are friendly and efficient, quick to help and portions are generous. We ordered online and the food was ready half an hour later - with complimentary puppadums. We've been eating there a long time, and shall continue to do so! Recommended.
Go most Fridays. Great foot, great service and the waiters are very friendly. Would not go every week if it was not so good. Also great value for money.
Good food but doesn't have license to serve alcohol anymore. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending how you look at it. You can take your own alcohol. Save you money if you drink scotch or vodka etc.
Overall very good eating in. Take aways not so good.
Amazing food , fantastic staff, we have been going here for many years and have never been disappointed 😎
We have been ordering from here for about 5 years or longer the food is always delicious never had a bad meal or upset belly. The king prawn garlic starters are the best could eat them all day 😊
It is a bring your own place. It took them a while to serve a party of 13. It had the standard dishes.
Lovely restaurant but doesn't have a drinks licence which actually makes it cheaper so can't be bad. Bring your own and they will supply the glasses. Food is great.
Ignore the photos on google, they don't sell it to you. Clean and tidy inside, food was fantastic. They don't have a drink license so bring a bottle, Sainsburys across the road
