Very average British food, unremarkable at best. The ambience though is absolutely beautiful. Would recommend this for a stop over when visiting the Dorset landmarks. Do not expect amazing food.
Service and atmosphere wonderful. Two meals were perfect,Fish&Chips and the Minted Lamb burger were great. Faggots however were very tough and the creamy mash was full of hard lumps..not offered an alternative.
Walked in from a very soggy walk, 5 of us and a wet dog. Welcomed with open arms and we were sat down with drinks in minutes. Large party already in the pub so we we warned of a potential wait, but we had hot food on our table before I'd even had time to think about feeling hungry. Great food and

Meal and service were both ok. Had run out of a fair few dishes, cod and chips, lasagna and one other item on the specials board. Food was tasty and satisfying.

Stopped in while on a quick trip south to see the Tank Museum. Got into Wool later than I expected but had a great dinner at the Ship Inn. Portions were very generous - I had the Chorizo Ships Inn Chicken & mash. Was nice to have 'real' food after a couple days of travel!
