This is my favourite place locally. Itt works for the whole family: 2 of my sons love the pizza and pasta options (the pasta is homemade too, which makes it extra special) and for the adults the fish and meat options are super. I absolutely LOVE the grilled prawns. They are truly divine - I have them every time - and I spend quite a lot of time telling others to go and try them!!

Highly recommend the beautiful food and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are very proud and will take time to engage in conversation, shake your hand and thank you for choosing their restaurant. This is priceless! Our 40minute drive was well worth it and we will be sure to visit again. I will highly recommend you to friends and Family. The best Italian we have tasted. Thank you !!!

Venue is great, service is friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. There were 12 of us on a busy Saturday night on 7th October. 3 of our friends arrived late but the restaurant handled that perfectly. We will be back very soon. Thank you for an excellent evening

An absolutely faultless Sunday roast beef with chicken livers to start. Service was attentive and friendly. All condiments offered quickly and extra gravy was brought without complaint. We shared a sticky toffee pud which was spot on. Price is actually not bad either. Could have done with a little more shade on the outside tables but other than that, perfect.

Visiting friends in Leicester, so four of us ate here. Great vibe, tasty food and good service. Not overly expensive. The curried mussels as a starter where one of the best I’ve had. The only negative was that there wasn’t many fish dishes on the menu.

We drove 55 minutes just to go to the ‘Pizza and Sax Night’ at The Pear Tree Inn as friends had recommended it. Staff were lovely, food was great! The guy playing saxophone was incredible and we really enjoyed it. We ordered a Margherita pizza and a Nduja pizza - both brilliant and we had takeaway boxes provided too to bring home! We also had the fries which were a small portion but they were really good. We tried the Green Dip which was advertised for the pizzas but personally we weren’t a fan - it was too sweet for us. They do have other condiments, we had mayonnaise instead.

We came here for a GCSE results celebration lunch and we were not disappointed. The weather was good so we ate in one of the outside areas. The menu looked varied and appealing. We had appetisers to share followed by a variety of mains including rump steak, pizza (from the outdoor wood-fired pizza oven), prawns with black spaghetti and a great mixed seafood dish (can't remember the name). The food was fantastic and very fresh, if we'd have had more time we'd have stayed for dessert too. The drinks selection was very good including several quality ales and lagers, there were even several mocktails which our 11 year old really enjoyed. The service was exactly what we hoped it would be: attentive without being overbearing and knowledgeable too. This wasn't our first visit (enjoyed that one too) and we're very much looking forward to coming back.

My wife and I went for her birthday. The night was pizza and sax night. The sax player was good and played really well and wasn't over the top. Food was spot on. They tweaked the pizza menu a little somethings worked others didn't for us. However, the food was still outstanding and the puddings we received top quality. The service was a little spotty tonight but all the staff I had spoken with where both friendly and helpful and thats why we keep coming back, thanks again guys.

Lovely location, it was a warm evening so we sat outside. They had a saxophone player who moved around the various areas. We ordered off the menu (not pizza side) and the food was very good. Plenty of staff about to get anything you wanted, a bit more expensive than I'd usually pay but it's in line with the prices in the area.

Nice new outdoor seating and eating area. Staff very friendly but service a bit slow. Sunday roasts good but Yorkshire puddings were very burnt and inedible.

Discovered the Pear Tree by chance and visited on a Saturday lunch time; we chose from the fixed menu - food delicious and service good, would recommend! Only 4 stars as disappointed and bit put out by being given two menus then being told that the orders for the whole table had to come from only one of the menus!

We have eaten here many times, both together, with friends and family and have never had a bad experience. We are extremely fortunate to have this amazing place on our doorstep, the food, the staff and the owners are all lovely and make you feel very welcomed.

Very clear the chef has meticulously designed the flavours and textures of each dish and it’s very impressive. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, decor, service and location. There are so many average, but still expensive gastropubs around but this one is well worth a visit.

I went to the Pear Tree on a Friday evening with my partner, for food and a couple of drinks. We didn't have a reservation, but we managed to get a table without problem. Place: from the outside you can already see that the place is gorgeous. They have an outside space that is beautiful and inviting. Inside is just as beautiful as the outside, well decorated, and cozy. Staff: all the staff was super friendly, and we were really well treated. They check on us regularly and were very efficient to bring the drinks, food and bill. Food: We ordered a pizza for each. The vegan Noduja was delicious, and very different than other vegan pizzas that I've tried before, those that can be found in other chains. I'd said is tasty and unique. The pizza is individual, and their size seemed big at first, but it is not heavy, so I finished mine satisfied, but not full. My partner had a Pollo pizza, and he enjoyed his as well. I would recommend the place and we'll definitely come back soon.

Excellent food. Went there without a reservation and tables available. Starters, belly pork and salmon. Belly pork was lovely and tender with crunchy skin. Main course, stone bass. Lovely thick piece of fish with fennel and potatoes. Extremely good flavours. Pudding: plum pavlova. A perfect ending...
