A great proper local village pub. It's under new ownership and management as of this week but the owners were keen to meet and greet their customers and give them a very warm welcome.

Popped in on the way back home to grab a Sunday lunch. The place has a good atmosphere and great selection of food and drink. I ordered the beef Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. Decent sized well presented serving with all the trimmings and most importantly tasty!

We loved coming here, the food was so nice! Only thing we would say is that’s we told we would get served by table outside but none came so we ordered inside, it wasn’t an issue but I wanted to let you know if none comes order at the bar

Wonderful Monday lunch. Despite being busier than expected the manager rearranged furniture to accommodate us and talked us through the local beers. Excellent salads and hunters chicken.
The Chicken and Lovage pie was easily the best pie I have eaten and probably in the top ten meals I have ever had. The wife had a Ploughman’s and really, really enjoyed it too. Their gluten free , veggie and vegan options are plentiful. Dog friendly. The portions are generous and great value for money. Their curry sauce is extra special.
