Visited in August after visiting the area for a number of years and never seeing this place open, so this year we had to go in when we noticed it open. So glad we did, Maxine and Carl were so welcoming, service was spot on, the place was absolutely spotlessly clean, the locals really friendly and at
We were really impressed with this pub! Real independent pub feel, lovely down-to-earth staff and the food was really impressive and great value, 100% will go again when I'm up this way. I had a burger which was the best seasoned burger I've had while out in a long time. Chefs are definitely doing a
Went for a Sunday lunch. Very helpful over the phone and we made a reservation. They were ready for us when we arrived and the carvery was well stocked. The beef was very good and we all enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and attentive and all our orders were correct.

The roast potatoes and gravy were both super tasty and as good as I’d mak
We needed a venue for light refreshments following the funeral of Flo my mother-in -law who lived in Shottisham. From start to finish we were offered a clear welcome, affordable menu within what we asked for that was both delicious and well presented. All our guests commented on how nice the buffet
We went to the plough on the spur of the moment, and very glad we did. It is very different to the last time we visited (about 12 months ago), the landlady has clearly made a very big impact on the place, it's much cleaner and brighter and a lovely friendly welcome. The menu is classic good home coo
