Rather Bare of foodstuffs, delicious breads & bakes have moved next door. However, quirky Artisan homemade wares by local handmakers & artists have filled its old counters, adding to all those extra little essential Christmas top-ups or stocking fillers not to mention additions for the bottom draw,
Went in and got a croissant and brownie when visiting my parents in Woodbridge. Prices were quite high but both items were delicious. Seen to have alot less choice since moving into the firestation.
I can honestly say that The Cake Shop makes and sells the best bread I have ever come across! All the necessary time is taken to produce the most wonderful loaves, great texture and full flavoured. There are other bakeries in the area who produce decent bread but none are a patch on The Cake Shop.
The Suffolk Trencher bread is brilliant, and I occasionally treat myself to a cheese and bacon turnover because they are amazing too. This place really makes the high street in Woodbridge.
The best bread. Combicorn for my sandwiches every day. Corn bread fresh with mussels from the fish stall (in season). This and Adnams are reasons to live in Suffolk.
Enjoyed some lovely bread from the cake shop bakery during a stay in Woodbridge. The bakery is very popular and always appears to be busy.
Really good quality bread and baked goods in the middle of town. A proper local, family business with friendly staff.
