A lovely pub, I was made to feel welcome the setting is sublime, such a lovely place to sit in the sun and have a pint. I gather the pub was used in the film ‘Yesterday’, recommend a visit.

A recent family trip here. Warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table. Would recommend booking! Prompt and friendly service. Food was brilliant. Fresh fish dishes as well as fried ‘platter’. Nice atmosphere. Hustle and bustle but not over-bearing. Would recommend and will shall return again when back in the area.

Great pub and really well run. There's a lovely walk from Ramsholt church, but you probably need wellies for the lowest part? Ramsholt's harbourmaster sadly passed away last year, but his boat (office) is still there. The film 'Yesterday' had some location shots here.

We were house and petsitting in Ramsholt and had Sunday roast at the Arms. They were happy to accommodate the Newfoundlander we brought with us. Great food and service!

Great location for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Good menu choices (3 of the party were) vegetarian. Nut roast with all the trimmings was delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic place for Sunday lunch with a great view across the river. Each of us had a different dish and thoroughly enjoyed them. The roast beef was great, as was the whitebait. Definitely worth the drive.

Out of the way pub down by the river. Lovely location and had it on my bucket list for ages. Reasonable to good service, 3 hours parking free (must log in on arrival). Winter mulled wine. Had Fish ‘Pie’ which was tasty and filling but if that was a pie I’m not a Greek Welshman! Big dollop of nice mash with a mountain of garden peas floating on seafood, swimming in a nice but watery white sauce. Very strange…I think the waitress said ‘ looks a bit wet!’ Summer time I guess the place is rammed. It was full on Substitute Christmas Day. Worth booking by phone to get a riverside table if inside. You can arrive by boat and tie up on the jetty if you’re in the vicinity and happen to have a boat in tow. A good relaxing experience.

We had decided to arrive just before noon opening time. It was a hot and beautiful morning, and knowing how popular this venue is, needed to ensure an inside table. Parking is free for three hours, provided you register your car at the pub within twenty minutes of arriving. We were offered a table adjacent to a window overlooking the River Deben. Just what we hoped for, and lucky to get. Booking is for inside tables only. There are about fifteen outside tables that are on a first come first served basis. The staff are efficient at polite. Bottled cold water was delivered without invitation, which was needed, considering the heat. I chose the seafood salad, and my wife chose sea bass. It was not possible to complain about either dish. Each of the items of seafood tasted as they should. I was assured by the restaurant manager that all the ingredients in are fresh, hence the flavour. My wife complimented the manager on the quality of the fish. After the meal we wandered outside to enjoy the riverside environment, and look at the horses that had been bought there by their riders for a rest.

We had a delicious Easter Sunday lunch at the Ramsholt Arms. There was a lovely warm atmosphere on arrival and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. The setting is idyllic. Definitely worth a detour
