Cosy, welcoming, warm and dog friendly We stopped off in town on a Sunday and on the off chance popped in to see if they could accommodate us with a dog for a Sunday lunch. So welcoming, very friendly and warm staff and the food was amazing. We had the vegetarian nut roast wellington and it was great! The roast potatoes were SO good and the nut roast was really well cooked and very flavourful (and with chunky real nuts too which isn’t always the case) As a vegetarian it was great - there was also pumpkin ravioli on the menu which sounded great too! A wholesome stop - good wine and some non-alcoholic options too. An understated and lovely pub.

We love going to this pub. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, enhanced through the history and decor of the building. I also like how it’s split into four rooms-areas so you can choose a quieter area to sit or eat for friends and go in the busier main bar area. There is also a nice area out the back which is nice in the summer. The staff are always nice and have good banter. There is also a good range of local beers, gins etc. We look forward to going back.

Wednesday 26.7.2023. Had a wonderful experience tonight. The venue is a beautiful pub. The food was perfect. The young staff, especially the young girl, were brilliant. She had a great rapport with us older people. Would thoroughly recommend.

I've had supper and breakfast here recently since they began serving food and have found the young staff to be diligent and friendly. Only a cold (though otherwise nicely poached) egg in my breakfast wasn't quite as I'd hoped. Definitely one to add to the rotation of places for the odd meal locally.

Cannot fault this place! Unfortunately having a kitchen refurb, so not an extensive menu at the moment, but what is on offer is plenty to choose from and so very tasty! But, what is really outstanding about this place, besides its great decor, are the staff! Thank you for a great evening, hope you are still there when next up from that there London!

Nice pub with different areas to sit. Staff friendly and attentive but the food did let it down. I've been there when they had a live music night which was so cool. Not sure they do now but worth looking out for.

I didn't eat here but, wow, I was there on a Tuesday evening and the place was bustling which is great to see. Well done to all concerned in turning this pub into a thriving business once again.

Booked a table and thank goodness I had! Totally rammed. The staff were excellent but overwhelmed so service was slow despite the poor staff literally running behind the bars. Food was nice and it was hot, but it took its time to arrive, especially dessert. Very noisy but good atmosphere. Nice wine list but I had to ask a server for one.

A gorgeous traditional pub in Woodbridge. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. The food was great with generous helpings. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful late 15th century grade II listed timber framed pub, so has bags of character and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and hearty portions. I had fish and chips and the twice cooked chips were the crispiest, fluffiest, most tasty chips I’ve ever had! After a day in the sunshine we sat inside and soaked up the atmosphere but there’s also a great beer garden outside which was still in the warm April sunshine. We’ll definitely be back!

This place has just been taken over by Deben Inns. Menu has good choice but is a touch on the expensive side. Harissa burger was very good. Good atmosphere and good to have another place to take the kids, who were catered for well, given some colouring sheets etc.

Lovely food and good and service. Had a Sunday lunch with a fairly big family group and it was possible o run multiple tabs on the same table (so handy).

Fantastic 15th Century pub. Great selection of draught ales and ciders, not to mention the gin! Fantastic food too, at a great price, well above standard for ‘pub grub’

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Kings Head. We shared the homemade prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce to start; they were served warm and absolutely scrummy. The roasts - one beef, one pork belly - were exceptional. The amount of meat (and gravy) was very generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The pub is definitely all the better for the takeover by Deben Inns. We’ll be back very soon!

A lovely old pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Very dog friendly as you can see. The menu behind the dog is worth a read! Food for people is good too. Really worth a visit for the Adnams' beers as well.

It's good to see this old town pub back under good management. Look forward to trying out the food. As it is Deben Inns, I'm sure it will be good.
