Really great meal. We were looking for some seafood locally and dog friendly. Great clear menu, food was clean and fresh..
Amazing atmosphere and service, we been to this restaurant previously. We weren't disappointed. The service was exceptional all staff were very polite and friendly. The food was excellent, would definitely recommend people go there if you love fish.
Unscheinbares Gebäude von außen, drinnen ein historisches Gasthaus mit großen Kamin. Personal ist sehr nett und herzlich. Die Speisen sind lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. (Translated by Google) Inconspicuous building from the outside, inside a historic inn with a large fireplace. Staff is very ni
We’ve been today for the third time and I must say each time the food was so delicious, staff is delightful and atmosphere is so, so cosy. If you’re looking for a nice seafood platter and other delicious fresh seafood (crab gratin is delicious to die for, same with lobster), this is the place to go.
Delicious local food in a gorgeous thatched building. Can especially recommend the burger - super juicy and full of incredible flavour. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for a few things eg. menu, ketchup, the bill twice....but it was friendly nonetheless.
Had lunch at the Sorrell Horse today. Food was excellent - salt and pepper squid, burger and an ice cream sundae. Service efficient and friendly. The pub was very clean and tastefully finished. We will return.
Absolutely fantastic food! Loved the seafood platter - great value for money. Service is brilliant. We will return for sure 👍
Loved it. The menu is limited which I like but the selection was varied enough to cater to a range of tastes. We ate seafood which was well prepared using really fresh ingredients. Service and setting were also spot on. We'll done team SH.
One of the best breakfasts ever! Ideally situated if you are staying at the Shottisham camp site (but well worth travelling to if you are not). We noticed that they had just started doing a Sunday morning breakfast and it turned out to be one of the best breakfasts ever. No, seriously! All locally
We 1st came here about 12 yrs ago and last time was about 8 yrs ago. Being back in Suffolk, we just had to visit again and am so pleased we did. Friendly, lovely food and an all round good vibe. We had mussels and the fish ploughman's...yum.
Just got home from having a wonderful lunch here; a pub that as heaving with customers and absent staff, but coped beautifully. The food was lovely, the staff delightful and every table had a vase of LIVE flowers, none of this half dead stuff you see in some places. We’ll go again.
Food was lovely. We had a baked camembert to start, followed by mains of beouf bourguinon, beef burger and moules frites. All clean plates. Service was also good and very nice sat right by the fire.
Fantastic local pub. Lots of outdoor seating, pretty thatched pub and great food and beer. They also do wood fired pizzas. Staff are friendly and efficient.
This pub has changed hands many times over the years but it's always been one of my favourite Suffolk pubs. A beautiful building in a beautiful location with some really nice Adnams and chips. Friendly staff. The outside toilets have also been tarted up since my last visit, worth a shout out.
First off the staff were lovely, so friendly helpful and informative. Then a there’s the food! Wow, we all had crevettes in garlic butter with fries and salads. Fresh tasty and surprisingly filling. The lemon posset is also well worth the trip. Perfect lunch time treat. We will definitely be back.
Lovely friendly community-run pub. Food was excellent. We really enjoyed the half-lobsters and nice wine list too.
Highly recommend. Dogs welcome and deeeeeeelicious food and drinks! Thanks guys. Look forward to next time.
