Great little place... Plenty of outside seating to enjoy the sunshine very clean throughout with warm cosy seating areas inside.
Love the wooden decor
Great place to sit and chill... Dog friendly
Richard was very hospitable
Very friendly on first contact, great service, good food, all prepared with a twist and style. Piri piri chicken starter was very good. 1st main fishcake, crisp huge ball with lovely fresh fish and sauce filling, obviously handmade served with salsa and a mixed salad with side of sweet potatoes fries. 2nd main lassagne served with crisp but soft on the bite garlic bread. Little side salad would have been nice. All in all really good meal although the mains were a bit on the pricey side value for money. All said and done would certainly eat hear again just for the quality of food. Thank you.
Lovely friendly pub, great food. Meet Frank ~ pub dog 😊
I love the Red Lion. Richard took it over nearly 5 years ago and has completely turned it around.
The menu is as good as anything you'll find in Woodbridge and great value for money.
Great range of beers, served by lovely staff.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
Lovely cosy pub, great service and and the food was lovely
Took our dogs for a long beach walk and wanted to find somewhere to stop. Extremely friendly and amazing service. They’re dog friendly and offered doggy friendly ice cream. All in all a wonderful experience. Will be coming back very soon
Food is excellent, but we had to send our roast back as not hot enough. Delicious after heated.
Staff are so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Delightful, cheery young staff and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Cosy fire in the front bar and dogs are welcome. Our group enjoyed a range of hot nibbles/meals and drinks midweek after work and felt very welcome and thoroughly well looked-after.
Really liked the marquee setup they've got outside, so even though it was a breezy day, we were comfortable inside. The staff were nice and friendly. The food was great, we had the beef brisket burger and the Sunday pork roast - both excellent! Only reason to knock off a star was because the quantity of the halloumi starter (the best halloumi fries we've ever had, by the way) felt small for the price. Otherwise, a great Sunday lunch!
Love this pub...eaten here many many times, food has always been first class, good selection of beers, well presented pub, great atmosphere....my favourite venue in Woody
the food is always amazing. the wait can be long but is always worth it. always the go to if wanting a meal out. to avoid long waits a week day is usually better.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice pub, had fish and chips, was nice but chips a bit underdone, got the food literally 5mins after ordering, so wonder if it had already been cooked for a while, was a bit dark where we sat, it was very busy in there, which is a good sighn. We were only passing through so doubt we'll goo here again.
Went to red lion for breakfast with santa with my grandson, neice and family. We had a lovely experience food came out exactly as we ordered thanks to Chef Dave. Our waitress Alyssa was extremely good with the children. She asked if we had seen santa, which we had but unfortunately my grandson got upset and didnt receive a present. She then went and spoke to santa who brought his present to the table
The food is always nice here as your general pub grub goes but who doesn't love pub grub? A nice pub in general with its atmosphere but limited on the drinks in my opinion.
Went there on Valentine’s Day as a spontaneous meal with my wife and dog. Extremely welcoming and accommodating food was great definitely recommend
A cozy atmosphere, great service, and dog friendly.
Some excellent food as well. Great work Alyssa and Dave!
Came here tonight to watch the football. Staff were great. On the ball and getting drinks when needed. Food was really good as well. Staff grabbed people who were s little rowdy as well sorting them out. Very pleased we came here tonight as we got a last minute table.
Ps.... It c'mon home!!
I can't rate the food as we didn't eat there but the Guinness and lager were good and it is a dog-friendly pub.
