We booked a party of 24 people in on a Sunday afternoon for a surprise 50th meal for my mum. The conservatory was decorated beautifully and we had it to ourselves. Everyone commented on how nice the food was, how efficient the staff were at serving the food and clearing it away once everyone had eaten and overall it was perfect and I am so grateful to Leanne for listening to my requests and preferences and going above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time. Cannot recommend this place enough.
We have been for many meals at old moor tavern and each time the food is beautiful, we went bank holiday Monday and the dishes we had was delicious and enjoyed every mouthful, braised steak was so soft and tasty and there was loads on the plate i stuffed myself trying to eat it all it was too nice to leave, my son had chicken & bacon pasta and o wow the sauce was divine, we all said next time we go we will be ordering that thanks for a lovely meal
Went on Father's day with family. Excellent service from all staff who work so hard. Big shout out to Leanne and girls . Nothing is too much trouble. Food was lovely and very good price. Definitely recommend Sunday lunch. Well done Oldmoor Tavern
I have been many times and never had a bad meal , would recommend to anyone .
Called in today for the first time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nice atmosphere and quite busy. Very good value for money and the food is first class. Menu is not extensive, but great choices to be had. Will definitely return.
Lovely food. Good service. It was Sunday so the normal Sunday menu was on but my daughter wanted "chicken nuggets" so the chef said he would do her some. Fantastic place to eat and drink
Gorgeous food, gorgeous place. 😍
Went once, had to go again.
Great for a quiet meal, and a good chat.
Staff were lovely and polite, make you feel welcome.
And they have my favourite pudding.. Jam Rolly Polly... YumYum hard to find that on a menu these days.
Only a smallish car park though, but a nice outdoor seating area.
Theres a woodland walk just across the road, its a nice place for a starting point or finnishing point.
Called in for Sunday lunch. Choice of roast beef. Turkey or pork. £14.95 for one course. We were seated in the conservatory area. Which was uncomfortably warm. Vegetables were turnip. Peas. Carrots and white cabbage. The beef was tasty. As were the carrots. We had dessert. I had jam roly poly. Which wasn’t very tasty. My husband had lemon meringue which he would recommend. Thought it was home made
First time visit, popped in on impulse for a quick Sunday meal. The reviews caught our eye and luckily they managed to squeeze us in between bookings. Have to say it was a lovely Sunday Lunch pretty of meat and veg for the two of us!... we'd defo return again. Busy carpark and tables on the way out, always a good sign.
I've visited here before and loved the food, visited again for the mothers days set menu and have to say was a little bit let down by the food the pork dinner was just a little lackluster.
Best I can say everything was warm and there was plenty of food but the main did seem re-warmed.
I put it down to being so busy and being in a party of 11 but still a little disappointed after the first visit.
Really lovely afternoon tea, it was a bit different from the norm.
Third visit , excellent the first visit, second also lovely garlic mushrooms are to die for. Last visit was also good but the special which was chicken with cabbage and bacon all 3 of us had said it came with sautéed potatoes. But arrived with new potatoes, maybe I should have said something at the Time. Wine is quite expensive at £8 a glass
Nice pub out of the way . Decent parking . The food is good and good value for money . Sunday lunch is good . If your eating I would advise reserving a table . Wow amazing food
Excellent food, great choice. The fillet steak was amazing. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will visit again.
***Update*** second visit..work meeting. Again fantastic. Staff were great. Service was very quick. The food was lovely. I recommend the Yorkshire pudding starter. I went for sirloin steak as a main...had the fillet on previous visit. I have to say the sirloin tonight was delicious. It came all trimmed with mushrooms, onion rings, peas and fries...banging! I didn't need a desert lol.
Lovely pub with great atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Ordered liver and onions. Liver and onions and gravy perfect. Came with tasty mash overcooked carrots and frozen (watery) peas and green beans (inedible). BTW my friend ordered sizzler in black bean sauce. The sizzler in sweet Chile sauce which arrived was delicious with fabulous home cooked chunky chips and a naan!
Really enjoyed my steak meal, the service was excellent, good choice of drinks on offer will be back!
