Visited Carvers Timber department today - the service was excellent and Carl who helped me couldn’t have done more, he even offered recommendations about how to treat the wood etc. Nice to see there are people out there with good customer service skills that care. Will definitely be visiting again!

I've been to carvers many a time but really only go now for Auto Gas.
They ahve the cheapest Auto Gas in the area at usually 69p a litre.
Very friendly and knowledge staff and always smiling what ever the weather.
Also a great place and reasonably priced building products.
Couldn’t fault this impeccable team at Carvers. If only we had a builders merchant like this in London hence the worthwhile road trip up north to Carvers. Would definitely make the trip again. Great selection and reasonable prices and top draw service. Thank you!
This is an amazing place. You may find almost whatever you need for your projects. Products are good, there is a large choice and prices are reasonable. However, the five stars mostly relates to the Staff. They are extremely courteous, well informed and helpful. I would send employees from other companies to Carvers for a training about how to behave with customers!
Picked up some MDF. Plenty of stock. Helpful staff.
Very helpful and patient assistant. I must have spent a good ten minutes with him in the timber section before I decided on what I finally needed. He even went and cut down the long lengths I needed and to also fit in my car.
1st visit easy to get round and lovely well priced cafe
Carvers will always be the first call for the discerning builder. Information desk manned by the very knowledgeable Steve, always willing to help. Clean café selling proper food, tea, coffee etc. A great place to visit, even if you're fed up of shopping. Now not everyone will agree, I know, but I would certainly recommend you pay them a visit.
We had initially been to other firms but were not happy. We decided to try out carvers for our new kitchen and left really happy. Upon entry the service was amazing and Alex in the kitchen department helped us immensely. He gave us the best advice on what to do and how to get the best out of the space. He was in touch with us and kept us informed of the plans. The whole carvers experience for our kitchen was fantastic and I would recommend Carvers to anyone. The cost of our kitchen was great value and beat all other competitors and the quality of the product was better than what other companies were offering. I was very happy with the product, price and customer service shown throughout
Ordered some decking a few weeks ago after being let down by another company and received fantastic service from Carvers. From the women in the drive thru timber yard who worked everything out for us, to the delivery driver who was so friendly and professional. The timber was top quality, delivery within a couple of days, and first class service. Won’t bother looking anywhere else next time.
Phone to book your stuff. Could do w8th a sign off the main road. We missed the turning twice. Very thorough and efficient. Checks coming in and going out. Excellent covid awareness. What a big place. I'll come here again. Got what we needed when others have not. Fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Eva and the brick matcher are very helpful. I had a slight delay issue with the concrete mixer but Myron and the hire sales manager sorted it out asap. They were very friendly and professional and dealt with the situation very well.
The service overall was very good. I would prefer to give 4 and a half stars out of 5.

Excellent quality goods. Had to wait to speak to Steve as he had another customer but his knowledge & advise in the design of the bathroom was excellent.
