I only visited for an afternoon of jazz. However I helped my sister and brother-in-law run their own very successful pub for many years so I know what makes a good pub. The beer was good, my driver had an excellent cup of coffee (in fact she had 2). The service was excellent even when the place filled up. The landlord and landlady chatted to all the punters. They have a lovely garden at the back including a huge covered smoking area. They do a range of interesting sandwiches, though I didn't try one. If I lived nearer its a pub I would be happy to use on a regular basis. And for those who are particularly fussy - the toilets were very clean.

Could do with some money spent on it. Beer was okay though. In a strange way liked the place loads of potential
