Went on Sunday for my mum's birthday lunch. Had a table booked for 7 people which was waiting on arrival. Ordered a round of drinks at the bar before seating and arranged a tab alongside our meal. Diners ranged from three teenagers to two septuagenarians and there was something on the menu to satisfy all our dietary requirements. Food ordered at the bar and arrived together beautifully cooked. Each plate came with plenty of seasonal veg and were returned back to the kitchen empty. Four of us had deserts (one to share!) and again, all plates were returned thoroughly cleaned. It's the old man's birthday in October and am looking forward to him taking us "up the Pigot" for his birthday meal, as are the rest of the family.

Such a nice atmosphere now it has been re-vamped. Lovely food, had lasagne which was delicious and good portion and such good value for money as was on the 2 meals for £10.49. Waiting staff were very helpful and pudding was lush. Will definitely be back when we're in the area

Took my grandma and young children for lunch last week. Despite there being a huge party of people our meals were quick and really enjoyable. The children tucked into Pasta and Fish & chips both of which they really enjoyed, quite a feat for our kids! Our meals were great too, well done to The Pigot and staff xx

I did eat there a couple of times during lock down and they are taking nice Corona precautions. However I just ate the 8oz rump steak and it was OK but a bit too well done for medium rare. Will ask for rare next time. Visited again and had a lovely rare steak, they are certainly serving some good food at the moment. Upping the star rating to 5/5. Ate there again for Easter Sunday and although the food was ok, unfortunately the service was poor.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at a brilliant pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and I can't say enough about the food, absolutely beautiful. Half way through our meal we got asked if we would like more yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy. Large car park at the rear and very reasonable price. We will certainly be back again.

We visited on Monday 12th August around 3.30pm, We was greeted as soon as we walked in and offered a table (table 12) The pub was quiet when we arrived, it is a nice , comfortable, country pub. we ordered a drink and had a look through the menu. My wife ordered the smothered chicken and i opted for the rosemary & buttermilk coated chicken burger, the meals arrived in a reasonable time and were presented very well, food tasted great and a decent portion too. Staff checked back to ensure everything was ok with our meals. We ordered coffees and 4 mini puds to share which consisted of baileys profiteroles, chocolate brownie cheesecake, bread & butter pudding fingers and chocolate salted caramel torte served with a little bowl of hot custard to dip the bread & butter fingers in. WOW!! what an amazing sweet treat this was :) Went to the bar to pay the Bill and got 50% off the main meals as they have a promotion on until September so this made the visit even better ;) Might try and get back again before the promotion ends and try some more of their appetising menu.

Had lunch recently lovely food especially the vegan tart in beetroot pastry which was fabulous. Really nice lady working very hard in the restaurant although when we arrived the man standing behind the bar didn't acknowledge us which wasn't very welcoming other than that it was great.
