Absolutely by far the best beef burger I've had in ages! (Classic burger with bacon and cheese). The chef actually cooked it to perfection. None of this serve it pink crap. It was cooked to perfection. Bar staff and waitresses were friendly. Very impressed. Will deffo be returning! Hopefully with family and friends
I have been here several times for various occasions, and I am sure it gets better every time. The staff are all so friendly and go out of their way to get us anything we need. It is by far the best and friendliest pub in the area by a long way. Thanks Westacres.

Very friendly staff, nice decor, a good range of real ales & (no exaggeration) easily the best burger I have ever had! (The Southern Fried Chicken Burger). Great value for money & since I only work up the road, a definite revisit from me in the not so distant future. ☺

Had a lovely meal out here today, our food was great! We were served by Josh and he couldn't do enough, he was friendly and welcoming and we were so impressed. Thankyou :)
Came here on Sunday 01/10/23 with the family and had the 3 course dinner from the set Sunday Menu and the little one had a child's scampi, My eldest also had the mixed grill The portions were big and everything was fresh! There were 6 wings as a starter, a fresh large Sunday dinner and a decent sized desert. I couldn't believe the size of the kids meal too! We didn't have to wait long for our food and The staff were lovely and our waitress was very polite and friendly. I don't understand why the pub was so quiet, best meal out we have had in a long time. 1 childs 3 cpurse meal, 2 adults 3 course meal a mixed grill, 2 pints and 2 soft drinks for only £70. We will absolutely be back, thank you!
We were looked after by Ruby & Harry who were absolutely perfect with impeccable manners and great attention to detail. We had booked on-line and had asked for a quiet table if possible ~ we were seated at Table 16 which was exactly what we wanted. Perhaps the nicest part of the visit was the fact that we were made to feel so welcome when we arrived for our meal at the Westacres.

I can recommend steak,lasagne,lamb Kofta,burgers and steak chiabata .
As I'm disabled they never hesitated to carry drinks over .

Erin was absolutely charming, lovely & helpful; Matt very kindly tried to accommodate us by trying to put the fire on and Sean the Chef cooked an amazing Medium done steak! The wine was also very good and larger shandy perfect! Thank you!
I always find a decent atmosphere and a clean pub,although I do there's always seems to be something unavailable on the menu.yesterday no cobs for the burger had to have it on ciabater bread and there was no Sunday roast available.and I think menu says chips with the burger but I had to buy a side of chips.
We all had a Sunday lunch. The meal was very tasty and very reasonably priced. There was a vegan option for main and dessert, too, which were very good

Have been here for years. Went recently for a birthday lunchtime meal. The food was of a good quality, but my main of grilled sea bass, though delicious, was quite a small meal. Had it also been served with seasonal or appropriate vegetables, instead of a couple of sprigs of asparagus, it would have been perfect.
Popped in today at lunch. Steady and nice atmosphere. No Ham left but lads were so helpful it didn't matter. Kids loved their main meals. Nice pint of Carling
The atmosphere is what keeps us coming back, the staff are so pleasant and a real asset to Matt the manager. The only thing I would like to see improved is the general decor as it’s a bit tired (but it is always clean)
Food was really nice but service was so slow. Placed order and had to wait nearly an hour for it to come out and it wasn't even busy. Then took a further hour for desserts to arrive.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.
We ordered Buttermilk Chicken Burger and 8oz Rump steak. The burger was absolutely delicious and the katsu curry sauce in the burger was a pleasant surprise.
I will definitely go back again!!
Our first visit in over 25 years. Absolutely loved it. Back next week for a second helping. The food was gorgeous and the service second to none. Look forward to our next visit.
Ruby was our waitress and she was very pleasant cheerful and attentive. The only constructive criticism is the music could have been more relaxing and not so modern.

Really nice family-friendly pub, the staff are very nice, pleasant and make you feel welcome. The food menu is great I had a chicken & portobello pie which was quality. Would highly recommend visiting this pub.
