Great, lovely pub. Bank Holiday event on so sat outdoors and soaked up the atmosphere. Good beer/lager. Friendly staff and regulars were very welcoming.
Great little pub very welcoming and good beer, there is indeed a tree growing in the gents!!
Pleasant and professional owner and staff. Plus, this is easily the best pint of Guinness I have ever had in the West Midlands.
Such a good pub. Traditional three room pub serving a good choice of beer. Very friendly landlord, landlady and locals. If you're in Wolverhampton you should go for a pint. Or stay over the road at the Ely House Hotel and spend an evening in the pub. Ten minutes walk from city centre.
Love this place. Spit and sawdust, but great beer and friendly service. Very few of these places left. We should all we grateful its still here.
Great little place, the beer was good and had a laugh with the landlord, will go back again.
Lovely, friendly, traditional pub. Great little beer garden out back too.
Really lovely homely atmosphere. Can't rate this place highly enough
Great pub, great beer, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Tree in gent's toilet - intetesting! Lots of different, cosy rooms inside, beer garden for when it's sunny. Arrived late Saturday afternoon and it was empty, soon started filling up wth evening crowd. Cash only.
A great little pub with a really friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of outdoor space and some good live bands play. I have been here for birthday parties, Paddy's day, New Year's eve and leaving dos. Always a friendly crowd and the management and staff members always have a chat with you as they c
I have been visiting the Combermere primarily on match days for many years, and the very fact of this consistent, repeat business speaks well enough in itself. I dont know how they cope with how busy it gets, but cope they do. On my most recent visit I have to say I had the BEST pint (well, 2 and a
A really nice pub I started going here as a friend who works at Marstons would go in a few nights a week for a drink. A 2 minute walk from West park which was great when the wv1 fest was on.
This is the pub which sold me Wolverhampton when I first moved here a decade ago. Mostly a quiet, even sleepy “country pub in the heart of the city”, but when they have a band on or it’s just one of those special nights the place is jumping. Five real ale hand pumps, tending towards golden ales but
Fab little pub. Interesting building/layout. Feel like you are going back in time a bit. Great selection available and fab staff
A fab old school pub with a chilled out vibe and a good atmosphere when bands are playing in the garden. Lots of room to sit outside and a good mixed crowd of punters. The landlord Gavin and his partner are always welcoming and friendly. Enjoyable for a laid back drink any night of the week.
This is a lovely little place, I would definitely recommend going on a night they gave live music. There isn't a great deal of seating, but the outdoor space I've nice. Apparently thee is a tree in the gents too lol It has an old pub vibe but with a quirky edge and fab stuff.
Since first moving to this part of the world some years ago, I passed the frontage of this intriguing-looking pub many, many times, before eventually making the (easy) effort to pay a visit. The reception I got then is what I still get today. A no-nonsense local pub, established on traditional valu
