The Hope And Anchor - Wokingham - Photo album

This is a lovely traditional pub with modern twists just a stone's throw from the station and good pitstop before you go to town. Has a garden and plenty of space. Plus a brilliant selection of drinks.
Great pub with live music, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was actually very good. I tried a burger topped with pulled pork and it was amazing, highly recommend!
First time eating here a d the food was excellent đź‘Ś beef brisket roll was very good, plenty of it and a decent side of chips. Great selection of beers, enough to keep everyone happy. A little quiet on the Friday night but music was a good selection and it got livelier later on. Also during the day i
Excellent live music bar in central Wokingham. Very friendly staff and supportive landlord. Looking forward to trying the food on a future visit.
Not too bad. It was pretty late when we went here and not many people were in the pub. Good dartboard.
Popped in here for a beer and they popped menu’s on the table as I arrived. Turns out they do burgers so I ordered one and was not disappointed. When I bbq at home for friends and family I go to Stefan butchers in town. The H&A get their meet there too! They do an amazing home made sauce which made
If you're seeking a place that combines good music with extraordinary burgers, look no further! Their juicy, flavorful patties cooked to perfection will leave you craving for more. Another gem on the food menu is “falafel sandwich”…and I am not even a vegetarian, but each bite is a burst of savoury
Slightly tucked away from the centre of town, the Hope & Anchor is worth the short walk! One of my favourite pubs in Wokingham. Great drinks. Friendly staff. And the garden - an oasis! Bengal Tiger was on tap and scrumptious too; hoppy, earthy, and with a silky mouth-feel.
The sign outside said "Best burger in town!" Sceptically, I ordered a burger and now feel a fool for doubting the statement. If there is a better burger (anywhere) then it should be made illegal. It's apparently locally sourced too, which is a big plus in my books. Icing on the cake was I had it on
The hope and anchor is a lovely mixture of super friendly staff members, beautiful garden , exceptional music, I was lucky enough to attend the kitchen testing , it seems some amazing selection of food is almost ready to be served! And the collection of drinks is superb , wolfpack beer, there latest
Excellent pub, excellent hospitality, great gin, beer & clean. We popped in for a drink on our way out for dinner. There was a lovely snug where we sat with our dog. The bar person, Alice was extremely accommodating & friendly. There was a gin menu she offered me & it was excellent. There is also li
Such a lovely pub to go to! Really good food and decently priced drinks. Bartenders who work there are an absolute credit to the place and so is the landlord, so friendly and creates such a nice atmosphere! Go on a night when they play live music, it's incredible. Definitely reccommend going gere if
Really nice pub , haven’t been here for a few years. Beer selection really good with real ales , nice environment, friendly staff .. under new ownership and just as good as I remember.
Warm and friendly atmosphere, family friendly, great rock soundtrack and a wicked darts board make this one of my favourite pubs in the area
Very welcoming with great company and music
Top service, excellent choice of drinks.
Great traditional pub with a wide selection of drinks. The bar staff were friendly. Absolutely gutted that the Bar Billiards table has gone, but the dart board and juke box were fun
A basic station boozer loved by tired commuters and locals alike. Always busy at commute time, but with sufficient efficient staff to ensure that you don't wait too long to get served. Reasonable prices Some evenings have a DJ playing songs that are way too loud, way too early - if you want to talk
