My mother and I found this restaurant by accident after a traffic diversion took us past, and I was starving after a long day at work. It was an absolute delight. The food was wonderful! Best fish and chips I’ve ever had! the ambience welcoming and comfortable and the service fantastic- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We were only stopping for a quick bite, but had a really lovely time there. I fully recommend visiting and will certainly be back soon. From Frank

Absolutely flawless. We came for a birthday meal for my parents. Incredible food, attentive service, extremely good value for money. We were a large table and this didn’t seem to really matter or cause any issues. I had salt and chilli squid, followed by roast pork - both were fantastic. For dessert I had the plant based crème caramel which was also delicious. They had a great selection of wine available and were also child friendly: my son was very comfortable and really had a good time, too! Honestly this is a hidden gem tucked around Mayford and we will absolutely be back. Incredible experience!

The atmosphere is cozy, all staffs are so nice and kind, they are always smiling and foods are awesome! Their menus are amazingly creative. I try ox tongue as a starter and rabbit leg as a main dish.
I promise to be a regular customer. I am willing to recommend this restaurant to my friends. 🤗
I've been here twice now. Both times were very pleasant. Nice food and great service. They have served me one the of the best cocktails (and the worst) and overcharged me on one occasion by £70 and I'm still not complaining. I urge people to try the Drumming Snipe on a nice day. Get a seat under their canopy in the garden and take your time as it's not one to rush. The oysters are decent and fresh. The mussels are full of flavor. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Shepherds pie was to die for. All the food I've eaten here has been fantastic and I'm betting their steak is going to be really good judging by the menu. My favorite cocktail here I think is called the hennessy sour. Realllly tasty drink. I would absolutely avoid the English julip. It has to be the worst cocktail I've ever had. It's like a cup of mouldy water with mint on top...no offense to the maker. Big thanks to Toby the bar keep who was extremely polite and very friendly.

We had a wonderful anniversary meal at the Drumming Snipe. The service was really good, the waitstaff were friendly and efficient, making us feel so at home. We started with the asparagus and poached egg, and the roast coronation crab. Unfortunately, the asparagus was slightly overcooked but the egg was perfect. Additionally, the coronation crabs’ flavours did not work well because there was an overall taste of lemon and curry which overpowered the delicate crab but these are issues that can be improved. However, the main courses were exceptional. We had Atlantic Cod with cockles and Double Chuck and Rib Burger with fries. The burger was on par with the best I’ve ever had - absolutely delicious. Everything went together perfectly, and those triple cooked chips - well, I had to fight my husband for them. We ended our meal with Sticky Toffee Pudding and White Chocolate Cheesecake, both desserts were amazingly good and not oversweet which is sometimes the case with rich desserts. They also surprised us with a slice of their dark chocolate fondant tart with a happy anniversary message, it was so kind of them and again was a delicious dessert. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant and are happy to recommend it to others for its excellent food and service.
Absolutely fantastic, from the food to the staff. A truly lovely menu, great to see such a variety of game on offer. This is a place where the staff really care, a real credit to the pub. A hidden Gem in Surrey, I will most certainly be coming back!
We chose to come here for our anniversary as we had had such a lovely time for my birthday back in January, so happy we did!! The atmosphere was so lovely, cosy and warm on a very autumnal day. Service was beautiful, all the staff were incredibly warm, polite, professional and attentive. The food was amazing! As a vegetarian it’s really hard to find somewhere that really makes an effort to make vegetarian food a little bit special and sophisticated. We were also given a really special little sweet treat to celebrate! Thank you!
We have been in a few times over the last couple of weeks. Their kids eat free during August promotion has been brilliant. The food and service have been fantastic every time. Dominica always goes the extra mile to make me and my family feel very welcome ❤️
