Oh to remember that day, that facinating day back in 2002, I was a merely 15 year old boy at the time, sitting with my family to enjoy our brother Geraldine's 12th birthday. Geraldine was overly excited for the day, waking up after dreams of fresh garlicy dough balls, we knew exactly where to take him for this most special of days. To my upmost shock and dismay, a man, a rather middle aged, royal looking character was sat 3 tables across from us, my mother turns to and says to my padre "look Roberto, it's prince Andrew". It was strange however, despite my bachelor's degree in human percipitation and the restaurant sitting at an atmospheric 50 degree Celsius, the man was bone dry, like a pale large rivita in the sahara heat, I was amazed, outstanded in fact. We noticed Andrew, a stern looking man with large Cumberland fingers pointing towards my brother Geraldine, he came over to wish him happy birthday after the waiters came over with a special Mr blobby cake. After this slightly uncomfortable encounter we decided to pay up and leave, to our shock, Geraldine was gone, we didn't know what to do. Suddenly my mum got a notification from her bank for 10 million pound with the reference "thanks for dessert". Overall was an okay day, could've been better and the pizza was a bit overcooked, won't come again, pizza hut is better, was free on nonces

There is more Jam on the walls in this place than at a pre-school. Which is great, if you like The Jam. I like how the chain really tries with the local flavour. It was a nice location. The food, being a chain is the same pretty much everywhere. Though I am still not over them removing the Diavolo from the menu. I had a stab at something else spicy and it wasn't half bad! They customised my partners Riene and she didn't die either. It's all quick and hot. The staff are great. Service is great. We did have to wait ages and ages and ages and ages for the bill. But I get it, you're busy and the food and drinks were quick.

Brilliant place. So easy to get to from the Palace with my daughters Beatrice and Eugenie. Every visit is time and date stamped in my head because Pizza Express is so darn good. Hoping they soon deliver to NY, Miami & the Virgin Islands. Keep up the good work!

I attended Pizza express in woking in March 2001. To my Suprise, Prince Andrew was there. Remarkably sat at a table with no CCTV coverage, being such a high profile individual I felt that this was a lapse in Security. Potentially this was deliberate? I found it remarkable when the allegations surfaced, As I very much witnessed him there! Food was okay.

Staff were very accommodating after an additional person joined the party last minute & ensured an extra seat could be added. Service was easy in the restaurant, however impossible through the app... The food is pretty good, especially for the price, and a wide range of drinks on offer. The only downside really, is for a pizza restaurant, I would expect a bit more range and variety... The restaurant wasn't "packed out" but a good level, which helped add to the atmosphere!

I do like a pizza express. Service at Wokings venue is great. Big love to italian Mick, looked after us very well. The new Christmas menu is really nice. I had the bbq burnt ends. So much flavor! Even stayed for snowball doughballs.

The food was good and affordable and the staff were nice. Surprised to see Prince Andrew dining there however and apart from my little sister vanishing the same night I would definitely recommend.

AHH yes that day in 2002 when I took my daughters to a pizza express in Woking. Amazing food but very warm, I couldn't sweat at the time due to a bizarre medical condition I developed after the Falklands war. 5/5

Let me set the scene: Once upon a curious day in Woking around 2002, you find yourself craving a cheesy delight at the renowned Pizza Express. As you settle into a cozy corner booth, you couldn't help but notice a familiar face across the room. To your astonishment, it was none other than Prince Andrew himself, casually enjoying a slice of his own. As you begin to dig in to your cheesy delight, Andrew starts moaning and loudly exclaiming how much he "loves cheese pizza". To top this off he seemed to be clad in a full suit despite the hot, sticky temperature compounded by the heat gave off by the pizzas and grills. To my absolute disbelief, Andrew was stone dry, not even a bead of perspiration or moisture clad his royal skin. Oh and top top it off there was some junkie shooting up in the toilet, food was alright tho but not too big on eating next to nonces. I'd rather trust myra Hindley to mind my kids then Prince Andrew

A very VERY unusual experience indeed which i can remember over 20 years later, i came with my little sister and was welcomed into the restaurant by a lovely server who showed me to my table which i thought was a very positive action. However there was a middle aged man who i thought resembled Prince Andrew, however i couldn’t be sure until he started eating out a Hot American and not breaking a sweat, THEN i was certain that this was indeed Prince Andrew because we all know that he doesn’t sweat. He came up to my table and talked to me about how he definitely wasn’t going to Tramp Nightclub because he didn’t know where the bar was there. I left to go to toilet and he started talking to my younger sister. The food and service was excellent but the only minor downside was that my little sister mysteriously disappeared so i thought deducting 1 star from my overall rating seemed fair. Now whenever someone reminds me of that time i went to a pizza express in Woking over 20 years ago i always go ‘oh yes i remember that’.

UPDATE I _think_ I visited here twenty years ago, however recent events and revelations suggest my recollection of the date I visited and other details may not have been as accurate as I had hoped. However I have now paid my bill in a full and agreed settlement, I hope this will close the matter. What remains certain is the quality of the food and service I received, as I wrote at the time: My daughter and her friends had a right Royal welcome and that was just the beginning - the service was fit for a Prince! And when I asked to change my order, the waiter said 'Dough balls with that sir? No sweat!' A truly memorable experience, I certainly won't forget this meal. And everyone was so discrete.

Visited March 10th at 2.24 p.m. for a birthday party with my daughters. I'll never forget this place or the date and time I went there. It was actually a toss-up between this restaurant and the Cheeseburger Castle. The pizza was a little spicy; but I didn't break out in a sweat because the Falklands War prevented me from any subsequent sweating. Or salivating. Or the production of any bodily fluids, actually (well...most of them). Indeed, just like all war veterans - each of us suffers in dryness. 😔 The staff here were so nice - even after I threw a full pint of beer at a waiter's face for making me wait more than 30 (thirty) seconds for my appetizer. At the end, they brought out a rather unique, amusing, and unusually shaped candle for the birthday party ... It looked like a -- Well, it made me think of a jolly nice chap I'd met in the States. All in all it would be criminal of me to not recommend this fine establishment. Criminal. And, Wonking is a lovely town. Driving to Wonking was a pleasure. God save Wonking and the Pizza Express I visited on that March 10th from 2.24 p.m. to 4.37 p.m.
