Travelled down Friday night from the Midlands to stop over before heading off to Thorpe Park on Saturday. The staff here are absolutely lovely. So accommodating and sweet to talk to. Checked into our room which was absolutely gorgeous and amazing to stay in. Had a drink at the bar before heading off to bed. And then finished the stay off with a delicious breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the managers name but she was great and super helpful, as well as the staff we saw in the morning. Would definitely recommend coming here for a stay or even just a drink.
I have Been Staying here for 3 days.
Staff excellent.
Food excellent.
Hotel New & clean.
Love this place.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights B&B whilst over from Belfast visiting family and friends.
A lovely friendly environment, the staff are extremely welcoming, well trained and couldn’t have done enough for us.
Rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff are very attentive, asking us daily at breakfast if we would our room turned over.
Lots of choice for food and drinks at very reasonable prices, especially the Sunday roast dinners.
I would thoroughly recommend this gem to anyone considering a visit
We've eaten at this pub on a few occasions now, and I have to say each time the food has been delicious, arrived at the table in a timely manner and piping hot. Generally the staff are welcoming, and although service at the bar can be slow at times you can see that they are working hard. That said I feel that some additional training could be provided to some, as there is one particular server that consistently gets our drinks order incorrect. Overall, I would recommend, plus this pub is very dog friendly. Thanks!
Stayed at the Wheatsheaf Hotel for business. The room was very clean, as well as the common areas. Breakfast was fantastic, warm coffee and plenty of options to choose from. My colleagues and I will definitely come back. Thank you Wheatsheaf’s Team 🙏🏻
A quick delightful breakfast and a coffee to start my day before meetings. Quiet and tranquil. Friendly and professional staff. Delightful and tasty food. Will come back very soon.
Cracking pub, good atomosphere, friendly staff. Good range of food on the menu and has always been good quality when I eat here (which is quite often!). Quiz on a Thursday evening is always good fun and a good laugh.
Dog friendly too.
Staff are brilliant, always smiling and a good positive vibe.
We drove a miniature steam engine over and treated ourselves to lunch, the pub kindly gave us some water for the return journey.
Would recommend a visit or several!
Came to the wheatsheaf for a meal, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was great, the tomato soup is very tasty and just enough to satisfy. The Eton mess sundae is a delight.
You can come in on your own and always feel comfortable.
Well done to Becky and her team
Lovely atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. Able to walk in on your own and not be starred at. The regular customers greet you with a smile not a grimace
I stayed here for 2 weeks when working in Woking the hotel is decent and rooms are cheap and cheerful around £50 a night for single and £60 a night for double which includes a free breakfast bag (they cannot do cooked breakfast with current covid rules). The rooms come fully equipped with a fan and toiletries.
I ate in the pub most nights the food is okay standard pub food they do 2 courses for £12 which is decent and you can order to tour table via and app so better for social distancing.
I recommend the Japanese chicken for starters and the burgers for main.
