Visited here whilst staying down the road. We had the steak night meal. Really lovely place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food good and plenty of it. Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Even had a lift back to our lodge as there were know taxis. All in all I would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Me and my family, a 4year old and boy 14 plus 2 adults have stayed 3 times now and the room is really good size for us all, we all love it. The staff are great, helpful. No problem is to big or small. The breakfast is amazing and that's coming from me a chef that has 30 years in the industry in London. Relaxing and has a good pint. We will definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

Just been this evening for the Tuesday steak night deal. Food was lush, steak cooked to perfection. We managed to get away with not booking but probably advisable in the future. There isn't a children's menu but they said they will do a child's size of anything on the menu, so very accommodating. It's really nice inside and can't believe we've never been in before-only live down the road!! A* guys, fab evening, thank you xx

Staff incredibly helpful. Food in restaurant first class. Room is very clean, quite basic, but all you need for a stop over.

Excellent value and stay! We only stayed for the accommodation and so didn’t eat or take breakfast there but nonetheless it was an excellent place. Perfect location, a beautiful pub with lovely service at the bar and a lovely, spacious and clean room. We had a great night’s sleep and the bathroom was good and the only slight exception being the shower (in the bath) was quite narrow and so the shower curtain was constantly touching me, but really it was no issue. Would highly recommend staying there - you won’t be disappointed!

Stayed for a week, fantastic facility and I’d stay for longer if I could. Well looked after by the staff, I would 100% come back and 100% recommend to a friend.

Very spacious, excellent good and attentative. Parking close by. As room was so big it was a bit chilly, especially in the bathroom. Understandable in the current climate. An extra heater was supplied. Otherwise awesome thanks.

Perfect accomodation when working in the area. Rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided to a reasonable standard. Hot shower and comfortable bed. The bar area downstairs was similarly tidy, perhaps lacking a little soul. The one pint of Otter I tried had been well kept. The free breakfast I expected was elusive, as the kitchen was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We turned up at the White Hart on a wet miserable evening hoping they would have a table for us and our dogs to have dinner. Unfortunately they were not serving food but what we did get was something that is quite rare these days unfortunately and that is good old fashioned British hospitality at its very best. They provided us with a takeaway menu for the local Indian and Chinese and offered us a table, plates and cutlery to sit in their bar and eat. The locals in the bar were friendly and we had a lovely couple of hours, thank you so much to all, staff and locals, you made us very welcome and we very much appreciate it.

The White Hart Hotel is a great and historic place to stay when in Wiveliscombe. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and met all of my needs. Not too fancy but very good value. The pub has great food and what may be the best burger in the UK. I’d stay again if I ever come out this way again.

Yes there are some little quirks in the room and the finish is not as polished as you’ll find in a Premier Inn, but you know what, this is actually what I like about the place. It’s friendly, cosy and reasonably priced - which isn’t what you’ll necessarily get at a Premier Inn. The room was spacious and we didn’t really need anything extra. There’s a nearby Co-Op for anything you need, in fact the village is so small everywhere is within walking distance. For a small village it can be pretty noisy, but that’s not The White Hart’s fault! We’ll definitely be staying there again, it was ace!

We stayed as a family and had 3 rooms. All the rooms where comfortable, clean and had a good layout. The family room had a double bed, 2 single beds and a cot and plenty of room. The only issue was 2 of the rooms where by the road, but if you have a room on the other side then it is quiet. It has free parking.

Perfectly adequate for an over night stop. Reasonable evening meal and choice of real ales. There is no breakfast included though, we went to the cafe opposite.

We were supposed to be staying in a lodge nearby for our honeymoon but there was no power due to a storm taking out the power lines. We decided to stay here in the hope that the power would be back on the next day. The staff and owners were amazing, friendly and super accomodating to our situation of also having our young daughter and 2 dogs with us. The room was fully equipped with everything we needed and we slept really well. Really clean and fresh. If we head that way again we'd definitely stay there.
