Lovely pub with lovely staff and good vibes all round. The rooms were nice enough and can't complain. Owner was helpful and was able to supply a packed lunch as I was working early and wouldn't be able to make it to breakfast which was amazing. I think the rooms would do well for a quick run around with a carpet cleaner. Unless it's the design of the carpet. I think a desk with the room to replace the dresser the kettle is on would be more useful to me.

Fantastic food, we arrived before they were serving dinner, but they very kindly checked with kitchen and were able to sort us our order over 50 minutes early. I had the steak pie, and it was out of this world, fresh cooked vegetables, definitely not from a tin. Awesome onion gravy and the pie slice was just yummy. Atmosphere is great, definitely the "locals" pub... But then they are generally the better ones in my opinion. Wheelchair accessible, though there is a very small step. Excellent value for the food and quality of it, and the general atmosphere. Lovely staff, lovely pub, lovely location... Perfect for me all round.

We needed a place to stay near Oxford and The Bell fitted the bill nicely. We only stayed the one night but had both an evening meal and breakfast. Both meals and the room were all we could ask for. As an added attraction the night we were there, a Thursday, was Aunt Sally night - a local game where players use sticks to try and knock a 'thing' off its perch about 20 feet away. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Just called by for a quick drink to reminisce a previous wedding reception around 12 years ago. Fabulous friendly barmaid and manager made us feel very welcome. Would love to call again if in the area

Stayed here for a weekend, very lovely staff and customers, made to feel welcome, not a bad pint of lager either. Breakfast is a traditional fry up, really hits the spot HOWEVER the times of service need to be looked at 8-9am is early especially on a weekend. Lovely little place to stay if you have transport to get about.

Located in a pretty cotswold village, well worth the visit. Parking maybe an issue during busy times of year but all in all a great place to stop for a beer & food. Outside tables & benches in the sun in the courtyard was were I had a great pint of Moorlands bitter... enough said. Partially thatched roof pub with great character built with the local cotswold stone. Rustic is what I would say. Senior citizens get food specials too. Great little restaurant at the back of building blink you may miss it's there...see photos. Even has an old well inside the bar. The staff & owners are really helpful if you need advice on the local area too....B&B available.....
