Found this gem on Google. I was looking for a cafe that allowed dogs inside as I'd never been to Withernsea before. I was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The menu is varied with good wholesome food, oh and they serve breakfast all day . I chose the meat pie and chips and my friend opted for chicken and chips. The food was piping hot and plentiful, it was like home cooked. The pie was filled with meat not mush. Neither meals came with veg so ordered dinner garden peas. Our desserts were Bakewell tart and Manchester tart with custard. Both were delicious and again piping hot. For 2 hot drinks, 2 mains and 2 desserts for the humans and 4 sausages for the dogs. The cost was just over Β£24 Absolute value for money. The cafe is situated at the town end of Pier Road. We parked in the car park on Pier Road so very handy. Highly recommend.

Absolutely spot on breakfast, we have not tried any other in Withernsea and don't see the point. This place ticks the boxes and hits the spots. We never even thought about dinner still full, was a struggle to eat tea. Staff were great.... Great service made us feel welcome

A warm and welcoming cafe, situated right in the heart of Withernsea. The staff was very accommodating including allowing our dog in to the cafe. The staff as stated was very welcoming the waitress was fully knowledgeable of the menu and even ensured water was available for the pets. Food quality and choice was second to none, and same can be said for the portions. When I say The portions, I actually mean very good size for the money you pay. Trust me you won't be leaving hungry. A fantastic cafe. Animal, Disabled Pet and Child friendly. Warm, Friendly Staff. Excellent quality Food. Huge portions. Thank you for a wonderful eating experience, definitely be calling again.

DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS PLACE..!!! The food was really good and large portions at really cheap prices.. What made it for us was the owner and staff, our kids absolutely loved being there and being made a huge fuss of. You can tell the owner of this cafe has it for the enjoyment of their customers and making them happy and not the profit to be made. We left feeling like family will be calling in regularly when at the caravan.

Anybody reading my reviews has probably realised that whenever I go out it involves a food stop. For me food is very important, I won't eat anything else. Breakfast again and the usual sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, mushrooms and baked beans, none of this continental rubbish for me. No tea that day so I bought a low calorie soft drink.

THE best home made Sunday lunches!! The lamb dinner is to die for especially the gravy! We used to call in just for Sunday lunch but now we call in whenever we are in Withernsea and have tried cooked breakfast (which I couldn't eat it all as its quite a plateful), jacket potato, fish and chips and my other favourite the homemade steak pie, chips & mushy peas with the lovely gravy! 😍 It gets busy and it's sometimes hard to find a seat but you usually don't have to wait long.

Change of ownership means that Sunshine Caf on Pier Road in Withernsea is now Jo's Sunshine Cafe at the same address. 21/12/2022 Came here following my appointment at Withernsea hospital despite Google stating that the cafe is permanently closed. I sent an edit to Google exposing their error. My wife and I ate the normal all-day breakfast plus a mug of tea. They do a small all-day breakfast but we thought we were hungry enough to go for the normal. There were no speciality teas but I'm sure you could have hot water in a mug if you provide the tea bag. Meals were lovely and waiting time was OK considering the number of customers in at the time.
