Another Wetherspoons ticked off our list.. unfortunately we did not try the food this time. This Wetherspoons is lovely, loved the beams and overall layout inside, bright and clean. There is also a nice garden outside area which is a huge bonus. Within the pub it was nice to see dart boards, apparently they host charity events. The pub is situated on the main road through Witham and has a zebra crossing directly outside, making it easy to cross the busy road. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The pub had a welcoming atmosphere and is certainly one of the best we have visited. We shall be returning to The Battesford Court.

The Battesford Court is a large historic hotel that has been turned into an excellent Wetherspoons. It's nice and cozy with exposed beams. There is an outside seating area at the back of the pub. There was a good selection of cask conditioned real ales, and a good choice of cider all in good condition when we called. The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly even though the pub was busy when we called.

Had a lunchtime work meeting and it was perfect for that; a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. For food i had a Halloumi salad which isnt usually my lunch thing but it was really nice, if a tiny bit small. Which left room for dessert and the apple crumble was spot on with ice cream. Service was excellent, friendly, quick and caring. Recommended.

This place is lovely and I have to say the good is great quality, staff are friendly, a great pub. There is a disabled toilet with radar key access which is great but the way to it is slim for people in a wheelchair, is my only criticism. the toilets upstairs are very nice.

Always good value. Nice and busy. Every week curry Thursday. The vindaloo is the hotest I have had. 10 out of 10. For the curry 10 out of 10 for value

This is a great place for cheap eats and a fantastic selection of beers at reasonable prices. The food is very average but you can't complain for the price. I always order using the app - the drinks are served quickly and food within a very reasonable time. A big bonus is that this place has outdoor tables and is air conditioned inside. You can't really go wrong here.

Definitely one of the smarter Spoons. Very impressive building, impressive interior. Just a shame there only appeared to be 2 staff serving, one on the bar and one bringing out food. You know it must be good value for money, when most of the clientele was over 70
