I genuinely cannot find fault with this brilliant and atmospheric bistro/bar. Fantastic food and wine, attentive and friendly staff and we will be back!!

Just been for meal at this little treasure of a restaurant. Service was beyond friendly, lovely ambience, food was out of this world. Being vegetarian for 40 years I do get bored of the same menu BUT they had a few amazing different options which I went for the beetroot and lentil bourguignon which

Having arrived in Wirksworth for a short break, we looked for somewhere to eat on our first night and found this delightful French biased restaurant. The staff were very friendly and made us most welcome. We went for the beef bourguignon and a beef burger. Both meals were excellent and plentiful.

Good varied menu but not too big. Efficient and friendly service. Wine and dine offer very reasonable

We went here just last night and it was brilliant. We had the pork and lamb shank and it was some of the tastiest food I have ever had, service was superb and everyone was really friendly. Also one of the staff recommended going to the featherstar bar which is part of the red lion hotel. Great tip,

Very tasty steak and ale pie with a medley of vegetables. Burger was disappointing. Maybe buy burgers from that great butchers shop just a few doors away? Very pleasant and attentive staff.

We were on the heritage railway from Duffield and stopped here for lunch. We enjoyed it, the staff were welcoming and the food was great. We were sat downstairs and the atmosphere was lovely. I enjoyed my chicken and bacon baguette - crispy bacon!

Wow a hidden gem. From the street this place looks like just a cafe but downstairs the restaurant is great. Old fashioned arched brickwork creating small rooms with just a few tables in each. Food and service were very good. This place is well worth a visit.
