My understanding is this is under new ownership and they’ve recently just started doing food too.
What I really loved about coming to this pub is that they made us feel very welcome with the dogs.
Had a good chat with the staff who were very warm and inviting.

A great little pub with a welcoming atmosphere and a brilliant restaurant. Awesome food and friendly staff. Always a great menu and if you like a good steak theirs are always cooked to perfection.
A real hidden gem.
We were late trying to get a table, but they did everything they could to fit us in. The food was great and the attentiveness of all the staff was a credit to the pub. Well done to you all, look forward to another visit, to try some of the other tasty looking food on the menu.
Had our Wedding Reception here and the whole experience was fantastic. Warm welcome when we walked in, drinks waiting for us, beautiful restaurant upstairs and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend this place for any event. Thank you

Just had Sunday roast at the George in Winslow
Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and the food was so good I very nearly ordered the same again, but was to full up

Might sound crazy but I think I just had the best chicken I’ve ever had… the George Chicken Kiev in Winslow gonna stick in the memory for a long time! A plus also for friendly staff, both in the pub and upstairs in the restaurant!
Delicious Sunday roasts, best I have had eating out in several years. And the handmade desserts were also very tasty. I have paid the same for much poorer quality food before now.
What a gem of a pub! Super service. Very kind and helpful staff. The food was excellent and they were happy to let in our little puppy. Highly recommend a visit here.
Lovely restaurant above a very cosy pub. Excellent food, with very polite, attentive staff. Particularly enjoy Muscle Wednesday when they add fresh Cornish Muscles to the menu, they are to die for!!

Lovely, clean, friendly pub now. The couple in charge are very nice people and the food is superb. Great roasts and a selection of steaks, lunches etc with good, fresh ingredients and cooked with care and passion. Cracking pub.

Very friendly staff in a little quaint pub in the centre of Winslow. Perfect for a quiet drink with some friends. Plenty of games to play and good music always playing.
A nice selection of locally brewed beers from the Vale Brewery, along with a large selection of bottled beers too. The open fire makes it quite cosy when it is cold outside.
