Fantastic food and sublime service. The menu offers a diverse (and changing) offer with traditional game and smoked food on offer. It has been a while since I have been so impressed by the range and quality of food in a restaurant. Rabbit, squirrel and pigeon were all on offer alongside classics such as fish and chips and steak. The smoked trout for starter with the seasonal asparagus was delicious. The steak for mains was cooked to perfection but oddly the highlight of the dish was the mushroom and green peppercorn sauce. The food was well presented and delicious. It’s well worth a drive to eat here. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A cracking meal.

The rooms are lovely and homily and very reasonably priced. The service is incredible. They were so accommodating when we needed to move our booking around. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, but maybe not to everyone's taste, so I suggest checking the menu before you book. Overall outstanding.

The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. The staff was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. We started with the sharing meat platter, which was delicious. For our mains, we had the stone bass and the wrapped pheasant, both of which were cooked perfectly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Chose to stay at The Kings Arms as split distance between our family for birthday. Lovely little sleepy village and the pub itself is quaint and cosy. The menu is full of local produce and game which is well cooked and presented. (The home made brown sauce is a must for breakfast!) All the staff were very friendly with good service and attention to detail. The only reason the room stored 4 is that the shower wasn't brilliant.

We ate in the pub one Friday evening, relaxing and enjoyable meal and drinks. I’m a veggie but still found delicious choices in the menu. Enjoyed reading the board to show how local ingredients are all sourced. Service and atmosphere was lovely.

We had such a lovely stay at The Kings Arms in Wing. We stayed 2 nights in the Granary suite. It was lovely and spacious and felt very homely. Kate made sure we had everything we required. It was so peaceful in the room that we had an excellent sleep. We ate in the restaurant and the food was just amazing - the best we had on our trip. Breakfast was also of a very high standard with the produce used being there own. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay again.

Such a great pub with very different menu. Meat you don’t see on other menus. Squirrel and muntjac to name a couple. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Food is fantastic. Lovely old style inside. Great place to go and eat and drink

A really positive experience. As a good cook eating out can often not compare to home but our meal at The Kings Arms didn’t disappoint in any respect. The menu was so good we struggled to choose. From the leather sofa beside a real fire to sit and peruse the menu to the dining area subtly lit with candles the setting was welcoming and tastefully done. The staff were attentive but not overwhelming and then there was the food … divine. We felt that the meal was definitely more special than the traditional pub grub, but not pretentious. Our meals were beautifully presented but above anything else it was the flavours that really stood out. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Great place to eat. Welcoming staff who went over and above to ensure that all, including 3 young boys, were taken care of. Superb.

Just had the most fantastic meal. A very warm welcome upon arrival. Drinks by an open fire before being shown to our candle lit table in the restaurant. Food was outstanding from the "Lunch for Less" menu. We had 3 courses which, were all flavoursome and very creative. Well presented and served by very attentive lady and man. We had coffees by the fire on a wonderful leather sofa. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Have already booked again.

Great location, comfortable rooms, warm and friendly staff and locals. Food good and all locally sourced. It's suppliers are listed and their location plotted on a local map, displayed in the bar. Breakfast massive. Don't miss it.

We arrived late and didn't eat, so can only rate the room. This was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Arriving late was no problem and the host was very helpful. Lovely location. We will certainly return.

Lunch For Less at The King's Arms was definitely only "less" with regards to the price. The food was outstanding alongside the service and welcome. On a drizzly winters day it was lovely to sit inside this beautiful old Inn by an open fire. Tables were set with crisp white napkins and candle lit. We were surprised when the food came out at how beautifully presented it was and the balance of flavours and textures were perfect. We enjoyed 3 courses for under £25 on this "lunch for less" offer that is running until April and can honestly say that we got value for money. We have booked in to enjoy dinner next month and can't wait.
